Lexi-Annes POV
Today was the day! Today was going to decides this little boys future, I thought as I looked at him playing with a train. He liked trains. All sorts. In his bedroom there were at least 50 trains in a straight line all underneath his bed.
I looked at my watch. 9:45am. Within a couple of hours he could be living with Katie. I trusted Katie. Although young she's smart. She reacted fast. She lives by herself with no other income than her job at a chip shop.
I jumped as the door opened. Áine walked in with a cup of coffee in her hand. She stood beside me and looked at Corin. He was happy sitting there playing with his train. He didnt need wi-fi or a phone to be happy. I wished all teenagers were like little boys. They find pleasure in the simple things.
"So honestly, do you think Katie has a chance of getting Corin?"
As she asked the question, I gazed at Corin and then walked over to the table with Katie's details on it.
"Yes, I do,"
I said picking up the file.
"I mean look, she left school at 17 with all exams completed. Shes applied for college next year and that college has a childminder. It's ideal, well better than moving him to different homes until you find the right one. He's a quiet boy, it would takes weeks for him to get settled to complete strangers but he took a liking to Katie when he seen her."
She looked at me suprised.
"You've obviously put alot of thought into this. I'll keep all that in mind when I'm interviewing her."
"Oh yeah, when is that?"
She looked at her watch and poured her coffee down the sink.
"10 so I better be going. I'll give you a text how things are going. If there going good you can pack his bags."
I watched Áine as she walked out and I was thankful that she would consider everything. I walked to Corin and knelt beside him as he told me how he thinks trains work.

So what do you guys think? Should Katie get Corin? Comment your feedback:)
