"Your gonna hate me" she states. Great way to start a phone call. "What have you done?" I ask, not excited for the answer. Matty's perched on a bench now, I watch him texting. I wonder who.. "Basically you were taking ages getting Coffee.." I sigh, here she goes "so I called Josh. Because I was just soooo bored" she adds quickly. I can already guess where this is going. "Well, you'll never guess but he was in Camden queuing for a gig. Young Kato you like them don't you?" she points out. "Yeah they're alright." Deciding to tell her what she wants to hear. "So he told me that he's got a spare ticket- I mean what are the chances?" "For god sake Flo what's going on?!"Matty looks up. "Yeah I'm in the Young Kato gig in Camden. I've left the car in Notting Hill I didn't have any time to think of any other way. I got here on the tube and I'm staying at Josh's halls tonight." She blurts out. "Wow Flo, sisters really stick together don't they?" I remark sarcastically. "Sorry Mol, you'll be alright your a big girl" she sounds guilty. But I know Flo can't turn down an gig invitation, especially from Josh. She's missed him a lot since he moved to UAL last year. "Where were you anyway?" She asks suddenly interested. Matty runs a hand through his hair and smile when he catches my eye. "In the coffee shop, getting YOUR coffee. Where else would I be?" I can hear the defensiveness in my voice. "Okay okay, one more thing.. I left your bag in the car." Oh great, I can imagine my black leather cross over on the bag seat. "But" she says more brightly. "you've got my purse so we'll just make up the difference later, yeah?" I'm annoyed with her for messing me around. But I don't want to make her feel guilty for enjoying herself. "Yeah Flo, sure. I'll be fine. Have fun and say hi to josh from me" I fake my best happy voice. "Thank you mol" she says simply.
I'm slightly surprised when I turn around and Matty is still there. "It looks like we've got some cookies to eat" I say with a smile.
Maybe this won't be so bad after all.
