Weirdo

Matty's pov

I didn't want to look like a weirdo. But it was becoming quite hard around her.

I leaned against my door and watched her silently. Her blonde, wild hair splayed out behind her on my white pillows. Her mouth slightly parted as she breathed slowly. Fuck, I couldn't help but look at her.

George wasn't here, thank god. I don't know what he'd make of this. Well, I do know I just don't like to think about.
He'd tell me to stop messing around with her. But how can it be messing around when I bloody adore her?

Finding Molly had been easy. There aren't many Mexicans in Brick Lane. (Seen as the place is packed to the brim with Indian restaurants.)
I'd walked in to find her sat at a huge circular booth on her own. Her arms resting on the table gently. The look in her eyes when she saw me, like she missed me made it all worth it.
Of course it was worth it, even in her drunken, sleepy state she made me feel better.

She hadn't said much, just "I'm sorry" and "thankyou" every so often, I was learning everyday how to understand this girl. I felt such a strong urge to protect her, look after her. I'd never felt that before, not once in my life. I can't imagine letting any other girl have this hold over me.

She stirred slightly, rolling onto her side. I'd taken her leather jacket off of her, so she laid still in her blouse and jeans. Her eyes fluttered open and she look around the room confused. Her blue eyes finally landing on me standing (like a weirdo) in the door way.

'Fuck what happened to not looking like a stalker' I scolded myself. She still looked completely bewildered, I smiled and moved to sit at the end of my bed.
"Matty?" She whispered quietly.
"Don't worry, everything's fine. Your at my Flat, I picked you up remember?" I reminded her. Her face remained blank for a few moments.
"The Mexican.." I prompted before she breathed in knowingly, shaking her head.
"Oh yeah I remember, god how embarrassing!" Molly exclaimed, pulling the covers up to hide her face.
I smiled at this situation, her being in the deep end for once.
She pulled the covers away suddenly staring at me with a horrified expression.
"I didn't say anything bad did I? Like about you or.."
"Other than rather a few swear words, you were a pleasure, darling" I chuckled.
Molly relaxed into the bed again, rolling her eyes at me.
"I'm really sorry, for all this trouble" She sighed, her hand resting on her head.
"Honestly, it's alright. I offered, and I'm more than happy to take care of you" I added. Molly blinked a few times, unsure of what to make of me.
"Oh okay, well thanks anyway Matty" She responded, smiling shyly.
I leaned forward on instinct and kissed her on her head.
"Breakfast is ready" I whispered before moving away.

Molly wandered into the front room holding her arms across her chest.
"Are you cold?" I asked putting the bacon on the coffee table.
"A little" she shrugged. I popped back into my room, digging out a jumper.
Throwing my solution to her, Molly smirked as she investigated it. "Self promo much?" She joked glancing down at the 1975 Tour jumper in her hands.

We were sitting side by side on the sofa now, making our way through the breakfast I knocked up.
"You know, you've never heard us play?" I asked, taking a bite of toast.
"I have! I've got your album remember" she defended.
I rolled my eyes at her, "I mean live.."
Molly sipped her tea, filling up time.
"Well I guess I've never been so lucky" she smiled at me innocently.
I laughed at how sneaky she can be.
"Well, I guess you can be so lucky tonight."
"Tonight?"
"Yeah we're performing for a preview for the film thing I was talking about"
Me and the boys had submitted a track for a one of our favourite films that was being re- scored next month. It was a nice break for us, something different that we were genuinely interested in.

"Oh, wow, cool" She responded. I could sense she was faking interest. I couldn't blame her, it's hard to get excited about something you know nothing about.
She would have to see us perform to truly understand. With that glint in her eye when she watched me play acoustic, I could tell she would be in for a surprise.
"You wanna come?" I asked, taking a sip of my coffee casually. 'Please say yes' I prayed to a God I didn't believe in. She bit her lip, before nodding.
"Yeah, I mean why not?"
