Kensie's POV:
"Kensieee! Guess whattt?" My best friend Lauren says while running down the hallway.
"Whatttt?" I say turning to her while laughing.
"Okay, so you know how I started taking those dance classes?" She asks me.
"Yeah, you won't shut up about it." I say while rolling my eyes.
She punches my arm before she starts talking again.
"Shut up. Anyways, my teacher told me about these auditions for this new Disney show and she said I should try out!" She says while smiling widely.
"Really?" I say smiling at her.
"Yes, and I want to you to audition too. I already signed both of us up for it." She says.
"What?!" I shout.
"Yeah, all we have to do is send in a video of a talent, like I'll do a dancing video and you can do a singing video. They'll let us know after they see it." She says.
"Why would you even sign me up for it?" I ask.
"Kens, you're really talented! Plus it's for Disney, we love Disney!" She says.
"Do you even know what the audition is for?" I ask.
"No, but that's the exciting part. If we get the part then we'll know what it is!" She says.
It was currently the end of our Senior year, Lauren and I are planning to move to Los Angeles after graduation. We currently live in Oceanside.
"Fine. But I'm only doing it because it's for Disney." I say smiling at her.
"I knew you would say yes!" She says clapping her hands.
"Kens, it looks like someone's coming to talk to you!" Lauren says while looking behind me.
I turn around and see Griffin, a boy in our grade, walking up to us.
"Hey Kens, have you thought about what I asked you the other day?" He asks leaning against my locker.
Griffin has been asking me out constantly for the past four years, but I always turn him down.
"Griffin, I already told you, I'm not looking for a relationship right now." I say looking at him.
"Alright. That's fine, but after graduation we are going to hang out in LA." He says.
"Okay, we can hang out as long as you know it's not a date." I say.
"Fine." He says walking away.
I turn back to Lauren to see her shaking her head at me.
"What?" I ask.
"Kens, I know you're still hooked up on Josh, but you haven't heard from him in a year." She says.
Lauren, Joshua Bassett, and I used to be best friends. We did everything together. Girls were always jealous that Lauren and I hung out with Josh, because he never gave them the time of day. He was basically the Troy Bolton of our school.
The beginning of Senior year, Josh stopped showing up to school. Turns out he dropped out, started online school, and moved to Los Angeles. I tried to get ahold of him but he changed his number without telling me.
I haven't heard from him in a year. And I'm not going to lie, I started having a crush on him but he left without telling me. I guess I haven't really gotten over him.
"I know, I can't help it if I'm still hooked on him." I say while shrugging my shoulders.
The last bell of the day rings and we walk towards the front doors of the school.
"Remember you have to send in your audition tonight or it won't count. Tonight's the deadline." Lauren says.
"Okay, I promise I'll send it in." I say getting in my car.
"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow." She says getting in her car.
What am I supposed to do for an audition for Disney?
