Kensie's POV:
I wait for Josh to start talking, I don't know why but I'm really nervous for what he wants to talk about.
"Okay, I've had time to think and I would really like for us to be friends again. I've really missed you and it's only been one day, it made me so upset that you weren't able to look at me. I understand now that you were hurt about how I said that I needed to think about if I wanted to be friends or not, but being friends is better than not talking. And I know you've never really had a boyfriend, and I think we should have time to see other people, even though I feel like we're meant to be, but I just want you back in my life. I've lost you once, and I don't want that to happen again." Josh says looking into my eyes.
I look at him with tears in my eyes and I give him a small smile. I walk closer to him, wrap my arms around him and give him a hug. He wraps his arms around me and we just stand there for a few minutes.
"I've missed you too, even though it was only one day. I don't even know how we went a year without seeing each other." I say while laughing.
"I know! But I'm always going to need you in my life Kensie. You bring a light into my life that nobody else can, you've been there my whole life." He says.
"Hey guys, what's taking so long? We stopped the movie because you guys have been gone bu-" Matt says walking into the kitchen.
"Oh. I see you two made up, I'm glad to see that. Now hopefully it won't be so awkward." Matt says smiling at us.
"Yep. I got my best friend back." I say.
"So are you guys coming back? Plus Olivia's wondering where you went Josh." Matt says.
"Yeah we're coming!" Josh says while we walk towards Matt.
We walk back into the living room and everyone looks at us.
"We're best friends again!" I say.
Everybody gets up and starts yelling and jumping around.
"Okay, that's great and all, but I want to see more Hardin Scott. We've literally had the movie paused for ten minutes." Frankie says.
Josh and I sit back in our seats and Frankie starts the movie again.
Later That Night:
I wake up to being held in someone's arms. I look up and see Josh holding me.
"What are you doing?" I ask him.
"I'm carrying you to bed, you fell asleep during the movie. Everyone else already left, and Lauren went to her room." He says.
We get into my room and he puts me down on my bed. I start looking for my phone, and Josh must've known I was looking for it because he pulled it out of his pocket and gives it to me.
"It's 3:00am?" I ask.
"Yeahhhh, it's pretty late. You, Matt and Sofia fell asleep so the rest of us played a couple games of UNO." He says while laughing.
"I'm surprised Frankie didn't wake me up." I say while laughing with him.
"Yeah, he was pretty loud." He says.
"So why didn't you go next door with Matt?" I ask.
"I wanted to make sure you got to bed. I didn't want you sleeping in the floor." He says while looking at me.
"You're a good guy, Josh." I say.
He keeps looking at me but starts smiling.
"I'm glad we're not fighting anymore." He says.
