ONE WEEK LATER
Kensie's POV:
I wake up at 8am to my phone ringing. I pick it up without seeing who it is.
"Hello?" I say into the phone.
"Hi! Is this Kensie Smith?" The person asks me.
"Uhm, yes?" I say waking up a little bit more.
"Great! Hi this is Tim Federle. I saw your audition and I loved it! I am happy to tell you that you got the job!" He says.
My eyes go wide and I jump out of bed.
"Are you serious?" I ask.
I hear him laugh on the other side of the phone.
"Yes! We need you to fly out to Salt Lake City on Friday." He says.
"Why Salt Lake City? What's the job anyways?" I ask.
"Oh yes! Here is the big news! You will be flying out to Salt Lake City because, we are filming at East High which is where the original High School Musical was filmed! We are making a TV show for the new streaming platform called Disney+. You will be playing Kelsi!" He says.
"This is amazing! But are you making like a remake of the movies?" I ask.
"No! The show is about students that go to East High, the new drama teacher finds out the school has never put a production of High School Musical! You will be playing Kelsi in the showcase, but your character in the show is named Sky!" He says.
"Ohhhhh! This is actually amazing! I'm so excited! Thank you so much for this opportunity!" I say smiling.
"It is my pleasure! I can't wait to meet you! I have a feeling that you will get along with the rest of the cast really well!" He says.
"When will I get to meet them?" I ask.
"You will get to meet everyone on Friday! We're having you all fly out here a week early so you can get to know each other better!" He says.
"Oh, well that does make sense." I say.
"I can't wait to meet you in person!" He says.
"Me neither! Do you know if my friend, Lauren, got in the show too?" I ask.
"Oh Lauren! Yes, we already called her, she's very excited! She's playing the lead dancer in the show!" He says.
"I'm so excited!" I say.
"Make sure you pack a lot of clothes, because you'll be out here for about six months!" He says.
"Okay sounds good! I'll see you on Friday!" I say.
"Bye bye" He says.
I hang up my phone and start dancing and jumping around in my room.
