Jungkook's frown grew even more as he kept on continuously typing at his phone, his biting his lower lip too. Shocked and panic evident on his face.
"What did he say?" Jimin watched how Jungkook flinched and look at him with nervous eyes when he suddenly spoke.
"I uhm... he fucking bolted." He looks dumbfounded. It's like he can't believe Taehyung have left them.
"He's already there?" he asked while picking up his things. He knows that they'll be going to the venue on their own now.
"He's with Hoseok. He said Jin is picking them up." Jungkook still look fazed, standing still at his position.
Just what did Taehyung told him? poor kid.
"Then we're going on our own now."
"Yeah. He left his keys in my room."
"Let's get going now then." he looked at Jungkook but he's still on his current position. He observed him and noticed that he's slightly shaking.
Worry flashed on Jimin's eyes. He think for a moment before he slowly went in front of him.
"Hey are you okay?" he looked at his eyes. His eyes looks nervous still but it has something in it.
It's like wondering. It's asking.
Before Jimin can look at his eyes more deeply and try to decipher what's hidden in those glowing orbs, he already looked away.
"Uh yeah, I'm gonna go get the keys now." he rushed to his room, even before Jimin can blink he's already gone in his sight.
He stared for a while to where Jungkook went to before he looked at the time.
It's past 6 now. They're already late. But he actually can't care less. He's not that excited to go to that ball anyway. So, he guessed it's okay if they'll be there on time or not.
After getting the keys, they both went out of Jungkook's apartment and went to where Taehyung's car was parked. It's already dark outside.
The ride to the venue was quiet. The silence isn't uncomfortable though. Jungkook is keeping his eyes on the road while Jimin kept his on every establishments they passed by.
There's nothing unusual to the atmosphere that surrounds them.
Throughout the ride they didn't even speak to each other. Not even once when they first went in the car.
But there's no tension or what else.
Just like how they used to be. Whenever Jungkook chooses to sit beside him during Mr. Kim's class.
Just like how they were every time they were left alone at one side of the dance studio when Taehyung and Hoseok gets lost on their own world.
It's the usual. The atmosphere is the same. It isn't heavy. It's isn't awkward.
It's calming.
Jimin always feels like this every time he's left alone with Jungkook. Whenever he's with him, he feels calm and at peace. He's the only person he can be with even without talking to each other. He's the only person he knows that he can share this kind of comfortable silence with.
It's actually pretty odd to him. On how comfortable he is with him, how comfortable he feels just only by his presence. No words exchange needed.
People may see them always teasing each other but the actual truth is, this silence between them is happening more often in person than those teasings. He can actually say that they bicker just occasionally in person. Not always. Maybe in text because Jungkook has more guts in there he noticed.
Truly, whenever they're together, silence always finds its way to them and they always let it be.
He thinks it's odd. To feel like this with him. Since he never felt this with anyone else, he thought it was strange. Maybe because the first time he met him in person was also strange that leads him to feel like this.
He knows who Jungkook was way back when they're still freshmen. He can always hear some of his blockmates, mostly girls, talked about him.
That good looking talented film major. That film major who's practically a bunny hiding inside a big guy's body.
Those are just some of the things he heard from them about him back then. He doesn't understand the fuss at first but when one of his blockmates took the initiative to show him what's the deal, he finally understands.
The number of talents that's inside this guy is actually unbelievable. He may be just on the average level when it comes to school works, still, he was very impressive. He knew Jungkook loves to learn on his own. That's what he observed throughout the years before they got close with each other.
They were grouped by Mr. Kim in an activity earlier this year. They majored on different fields but they had the chance to be classmates this year in Mr. Kim's class. At first he doesn't know how will he approached him. Thankfully, Jungkook smiled and greeted him first.
That first meeting was odd now that he think about it. It was just a simple activity, they worked on it for just a short period of time but they got really close after that. One day he just found himself clapping back at Jungkook every time he's calling him tiny.
And now after a few months, here they are.
Jimin can't actually believe it when he first realized it. He was used to only observed this boy before. Now they were friends.
He didn't even expect that a time will come their paths will cross someday.
"Thank fuck we're finally here." He snapped out of his thoughts when Jungkook spoke after he shut off the engine of the car.
"Oh right. Let's go inside and look for them." he realized Jungkook kept quiet beside him when he's done unbuckling his seatbelt.
"Jungkook?" Jungkook looked at him, eyes widened and proceeded to unbuckle his own seatbelt before he answered.
"Uh yeah." Jimin looked at him weirdly before shrugging it off.
They got off and head inside. Music is already blasting all around the venue, making the atmosphere of the ball very lively.
Jimin huffs as they went their way towards the entrance.
This is gonna be a long night, he thinks.
