Jimin waited impatiently at the school gate for his friend. He mentally promised himself that if he had to wait a minute longer then he would walk back home by himself. Just as he was about to leave, he saw a familiar mess of brown hair run towards him. By the time he reached Jimin,  he was panting hard.

"I'm-I'm-I'm-" The poor boy was unable to say anything through his wheezes. He took in some deep breath and tried speaking again only to realize that he was still out of breath. After a good minute of taking deep breaths, wheezing and panting the boy was finally able to speak.

"I'm sorry for being late"

Jimin giggled at the boy's red face, "It's okay Hoseok hyung"

Both of them started walking their way back, talking about their day at school.

"Oh Jimin did you see the notice?" Hoseok added.

"Which one?" Jimin replied. There were about a dozen noticed stuck on the school board but almost all of them were a week old.

Before Hoseok could answer a dog came running towards them. Hoseok yelled in fear and hid behind Jimin. The dog's name was Buzz.

The poor dog had gone through a lot of tortures. His fur was torn off at some part, revealing his fleshy pink skin. His left ear was broken and stayed limply on one side. There were several scratched on his faces which made look even more scarier. All of this came from his last owner.

The dog hardly let anyone come  near him. Jimin was one of the few. Though Hoseok was another case.

It's not that the dog hated Hoseok but he was simply found it amusing how easily the brunet was spooked.

"Good doggy. Go away...Shoo! good doggy" Hoseok muttered weakly at the dog.

Jimin chuckled at the elder's state and smiled at the dog.

"Hey there Buzzy. How many squirrels did you find today?" Jimin asked, softly petting Buzz's head.

The dog barked 5 times and then happily wagged his tail.

"Jimin, please ask him to go away. Please" Hoseok whispered desperately from behind him.

Jimin smirked when an idea popped into his head, "See this hyung? Go give him a high-five"

Hoseok's eyes widen in fear. He was mortified when the dog stood up to his chest trying to reach the brunet's hand. Jimin was waiting till the elder would piss himself and he could back-mail him on that for at least a year. But before something like that happened another deep voice called Buzz. The dog immediately stopped trying to give Hoseok a high-five and the ran to the person who had called him.

Hoseok finally breathed after who knows how long, "Thanks Yoongi hyung. I thought I was going to die today"

Jimin laughed heartily at Hoseok's still scared face, "Oh come one hyung. Buzz isn't that scary"

Hoseok scowled at Jimin and poked his tongue out at him.

"So hyung, how come you actually left your house?" Hoseok asked

"I was coming to talk to you, actually. I had something to discuss" Yoongi said, ignoring Hoseok's attempt at dissing him and instead petting Buzz.

"Jimin, sorry, forgot to introduce you to this turtle here. He is-"

"Min Yoongi. I know. He's my neighbor" Jimin finished.

Min. Yoongi.

All that Jimin knew about him was that he was two year older. Even though Jimin hadn't met the older many a times because Yoongi hardly ever got out, he had to agree that Yoongi was an intriguing person. There was something about him that claimed to get the attention.

Maybe it was those half-lidded dark eyes that demanded to be looked at.

Or the aura around him.

"I dare you call me turtle one more time. If you do, I'm gonna ask Buzz to chase after you" Yoongi threatened.

"You will not" Hoseok's face visibly paled at the empty threat.

Jimin could not control his giggles anymore, not seeing the way the others were looking at him.

"Anyways, what did you want to talk about?" Hoseok asked when Jimin's giggles died down.

Yoongi sighed and patted Buzz who ran away after he spotted a squirrel.

"The Games"

Jimin's eyes widen upon hearing the name of the most famous and sought after game.

"The Games is happening this year?" Jimin asked

Hoseok hummed,  "That's what the notice was about. I heard that this time the Creators got a new architect to design The Games"

"But the surprising part is that the architect has no public identity. But nonetheless has many credentials" Yoongi said.

The Games is not most anticipated event. There was no fixed time as to when the Games will take pace, but whenever it did, everything else came to a halt. All the focus directed to the Games. Schools,  private offices, and even government offices shut down. That is the importance of The Games.

Each time, The Games was different. Each time, a new architect will he appointed. That meant new rules and new challenges.

The winner of the Games was one of the most prestigious person. They were more famous than celebrities and held as much power as the politicians.

A silence prevailed between the three men, until it was broken by the buzzing of the Hoseok's phone.

He pulled his phone out of his pocket and received the call.

"Hello Noona"

"Yeah, I got the news"

"Now?... Okay, I head over this instant"

After ending the call, Hoseok looked over to the others, "Sorry hyung, I need to go now. We'll talk tomorrow, okay?"

Yoongi nodded, "Sure. But make sure to not delay any further"

Hoseok nodded, biding the two goodbyes and went the other way. Jimin sighed as he watched Hosoek's figure disappearing behind a corner.

"Wanna go together?" Yoongi asked

"Sure" Jimin smiled back.

The two walked towards their house, having a small chat among themselves to know each other better.

"See you soon hyung" Jimin said, opening the door to his apartment.

"See you soon" Yoongi replied.

And they were going to meet each other soon. Sooner than they expect.
