"Are you ready?" Hoseok asked, watching over Jimin as the younger placed himself on the machine.
"Yeah" Jimin breathed out, relaxing his muscles as Hoseok attached the patches to Jimin's body.
"Are you okay?" Hoseok asked, noticing the difference on the ECG machince.
"Why do you ask?" Jimin asked back, glancing to see side to see Yoongi taking his place as well.
"Your heartbeat is pretty high. Higher than normal" Hoseok answered, frowning as he watched the ECG machine show a heart of around 100 bpm.
"I-I'm fine" Jimin answered.
In truth, he wasn't fine. He was scared to see that creature when he closed his eyes, but he knew that he had to harden up and play the game. Who knew what awaited them in the upcoming challenges.
Jimin wasn't surprised to see a calm and collected look on Yoongi's face. But Jimin knew that even the elder was just as scared of the creature.
"All done" Hoseok declared walking away from Yoongi's pod.
He closed the cover for both the machines and the two players were immediately covered in darkness. The only light source being the blue light glowing from the wires carrying the data beneath the glass slab.
He heard soft whirring and closed his eyes, preparing himself for the Games.
Jimin jerked up, his eyes shooting open. He had to look around, before he could calm down after realizing that he was the room from the inn in the game. He sat up straight, groaning in the process. His sword was just the way he had left it three days back. However, in the game, it was only a matter of a night.
As he left the bed he stretched his limbs, cracking his knuckles and neck. Even though this was the third game holding the sword, the weight still felt a little foreign to his hands. Nonetheless, he swung it around, the blade making a soft sound each time he cut through the air with speed.
Jimin stopped when he heard a knock at his door.
"Jimin, time to leave" Yoongi's muffles voice came through the door.
Jimin looked around the room one more, making sure he didn't leave behind anything and then opened the door. The two players made their way downstairs and greeted the lady the at the front desk. Yoongi tapped his pocket and a hologram popped up. He watched as the number of units decreased after he clicked the pay option.
"Thank you gentlemen" The lady smiled after the money transfer was complete.
The two players nodded and returned the smile. They walked out and where met with sun barely above the horizon; slowly turning yellow from orange.
"Hoseok, where to?" Yoongi asked out loud as they walked out of the town.
"Just walk towards east" Hoseok answered back to the both of them.
