The open Jimin opened his eyes to darkness, this instincts was to get away as far as possible. But before he could trash around and hurt himself, the lid was open and Hoseok helped him off the pod.
As soon as Jimin was out of the pod and calmed down after seeing his surrounding, Hoseok rushed to Yoongi's machine and opened the lid. The elder was calmer than Jimin, but his heartbeat gave up the fear bubbling inside him.
Once after they were both calmed down and breathing, Jimin, Yoongi and Hoseok looked at each other before they broke into fits of laughter.
"I-I can't believe-" Jimin giggled again, trying to utter the sentence completely but failing miserably.
"Shush! Shush! We can't let the other know. They still have one more day for completing the level" Hoseok whispered, looking around to see some pairs of eyes one them.
"Let's go back, yeah?" Yoongi said, his laughter dying down, "Then we can celebrate"
The other two nodded and the staff escorted them back to their chambers. The moment they were in, Jimin and Hoseok swung their hands over each other's shoulders and started singing loudly. Yoongi pretended that it was all annoying but in reality he was enjoying it as well.
The cheering soon quiet down, and all the three were sitting on the sofa. There was silence but a comfortable one. Until, Hoseok got up and headed towards the door.
"I'll be back soon, okay?" Hoseok mumbled, turning the knob to the door.
Jimin ad Yoongi nodded and with that Hoseok left. After the brunet was gone, the two fell into an uncomfortable silence. Jimin kept on glancing at the elder, wondering if he should just leave to his room or stay here and start up a conversation.
"Yah! Stop doing that!" Yoongi spoke up after a while.
Jimin snapped his head towards the elder, his eyes wide like saucers. Yoongi stifled his laugh seeing the reaction on Jimin's face.
"Come here, I'll show you something" Yoongi said, getting up.
Yoongi understood that the younger was feeling uncomfortable and for the sake that Jimin is Hoseok's friend, Yoongi decided to make the younger feel better. The two entered Yoongi room and the elder shuffled through his bag in search of something.
Jimin let himself sit down on the bed. Yoongi returned with carrying a black leather cover book. It was detailed with golden embroidery, running up the spine like a vine entwining around the trunk of a tree. On the cover was the symbol of the ancient Min family. And their majestic title engraved on the cover in beautiful curves.
"Story time?" Jimin giggled, looking at Yoongi with a goofy smile.
The elder rolled his eyes, climbing up on the bed and placing the book in front of both of them. They got comfortable in their position, laying on their stomachs. Jimin rested his chin on his crossed arms, where as Yoongi rested his body on his elbows.
"It won't be like those boring History lessons. I promise" Yoongi said, opening the book.
Jimin hummed, a small smile forming on his lips when he the soft crunching sound as the yellowing paper were turned. It was hand written in a humble black ink. And the younger was in awe seeing the illustrations.
Jimin was completely focused on the turning of the pages that he didn't realize when Yoongi had started speaking. But, soon he was drowning in the smell of the paper, the colors on the pages and the deep, soothing voices that was speaking.
Hoseok skipped his way to the upper floor. And smiled when he saw Bon-Hwa walking towards the stairs. Bon-Hwa returned the smile. But one they were standing in front of each other, Bon-Hwa pouted.
"We couldn't complete the level today" He complained.
Hoseok laughed, "That's okay. You still have tomorrow"
Bon-Hwa sighed and nodded, "Yeah. But I have to figure out a plan otherwise, I'm loosing my head"
Hoseok would have laughed of if would have heard it some else but he knew that with Bon-Hwa, that would actually happen. However, he couldn't give help Bon-Hwa and betray his team. Neither could he leave Bon-Hwa helpless. He bit the inside of his cheeks, as the two walked upstairs. But the same time, there wasn't much Hoseok could do because each team got a different mission, and they had encountered different monsters. They was probably no link that Hoseok could use to help Bon-Hwa.
"Yah! What's with that look?" Bon-Hwa complained, playfully hitting Hoseok's arm, "You think I'm not smart enough to think of something?"
Hoseok held up his hand in defence, "No sir! I wouldn't dare"
Bon-Hwa raised his eyebrow sharply, looking at Hoseok with a skeptical look. They stayed like that for a few moments before they broke in to laughter. They mimicked each other's actions until they were gasping for breaths in between in their laugh
After a couple minutes of chatting with each other, Hoseok and Bon-Hwa parted ways. When he opened the door to his chamber, the first thing he heard was Jimin giggling loudly followed by his high-pitched yelp.
Hoseok closed the door behind him with an amused look, walking towards the room where the laughs were coming from. Upon entering he saw, Jimin giggling and trying to run away from Yoongi.
"Come here, you little brat" Yoongi growled playfully, lurching forward to catch Jimin by his waist.
The younger yelped, "No! Lemme go~"
Jimin whined, trying to wiggle away from the elder's grip, but with each try Yoongi tighten his grip around his waist.
"No, apologize first" Yoongi said.
Jimin stopped wriggling around and looked at Yoongi with a deadpan look, "No. I'm not apologizing, you pale vampire"
Yoongi was momentarily fazed by being called a vampire and Jimin used this chance to run away. When Yoongi heard Jimin's triumphant cheers, as the younger skipped away and hid behind Hoseok.
"What's happening here?" Hoseok asked, the amused look still on his face and now a smile tugging on his face.
"Look, I drew this" Jimin showed a very poorly draw face with the name Yoongi written beneath it, "And I said that he looks a like a uncooked dumpling that no one's going to have"
Hoseok pursed his lips, trying to control his laughs after hearing what Jimin said and nodded.
"And I said that his handwritting is like a kindergarten student"
"Well, he isn't wrong" Hoseok said, looking at Yoongi.
Yoongi feigned a offended face, "My handwriting is good. I just don't spend a unreasonable amount on making it look pretty. I write in a hurry and no one cares as long as it is eligible!"
"Excuses. All excuses" Jimin and Hoseok replied in chorus.
Yoongi huffed and looked away, "Whatever"
Jimin mimicked the expression on Yoongi's face in a very comical way that had them all cracking up.
And only the sounds of laughter filled the room where one they screamed from nightmares.
