~Chapter Twenty-two~

(16th March, 2018)

I got changed into this outfit:

Then I got all my things ready.

I was paired up with Vernon for our assignment. I'm so glad that I got paired with a good student and someone who would actually help me.

Over these few months, I became good friends with Vernon, he's a nice guy. Plus his house isn't too far away, so that makes everything easier.

"Should I drop you off at his house?" Seongie suggested.

"His house is only a few minutes away. Specifically, it's adjacent to Felix's place." I sighed as I put my bag over my shoulder.

"Be back within 10, ok?" He said sternly.

"What if it takes longer?"

"It shouldn't take more that 3 hours, should it?"

"It don't think so..."

"Make sure he or his friends don't do anything to you, ok?"

"Hmm."

"It something happens, call me, ok?"

"Ok, mom."

"I'm only doing this to protect you, Y/N..." He sighed.

"Well, you're being too protective. I can protect myself."

"Suuuure you can."

"Can't you let me have some friends of my own without worrying too much?!" I snapped at him.

"Well, sorry for 'worrying too much'." He said as he rolled his eyes.

"This is actually starting to annoy me, Seonghwa..." I glared at him.

"If you come back home with a frown on your face, I'm not gonna help you, got it?" He said angrily as he glared at me.

"Fine!" I said before slamming the door in his face.

I started power walking to Vernon's place. But with every step I took, I regretted shouting at Seonghwa like that.

He's just caring for me and I called him annoying...

I should apologise.

When I get back home that is.

I arrived at Vernon's house and knocked on the door. A tall brown-haired guy opened the door and eyed me up and down in a weird way.

"Uhm, is Vernon home?" I asked, glaring at the guy.

"Yep, come in, Y/N!!" I heard Vernon shout from inside.

"Pretty name for a pretty girl~" The guy who opened the door purred.

"And you are?" I asked, still glaring at him.
