"Hey Joongie. Sorry for calling you at this time." She said.
A smile crept up my face as I heard her voice, even though she decided to call me at 6 am.
"No problem. Tell you what, let's do video call, hmm?"
"N-No! I just woke up but I wanted to talk to you!"
"I'm sure you're fine..." My thumb hovered over the video button.
"No, I look ugly and plus, I have a bed head you definitely don't wanna see."
I ignored her and turned the camera on, which resulted in her camera turning on too. She immediately covered her face with her pillow.
Cute.
"Y/N, you're stunning even if you just woke up. Show me your pretty face. I haven't seen it for months..."
She slowly raised her head and smiled. I smiled back seeing her bed head. I really wanted to stroke her hair even if it looked like a bird nest. She covered her mouth, making me only see her eyes and hair.
"Oh come on! Don't be so shy, Y/N!!"
"Fine, for you..." She removed her hand.
"That's better. So, why'd you call me at 6 am?"
"Uhm, you know Minho, right?"
"Your boyfriend?"
"Ex boyfriend."
"Ex...?"
Please don't tell me it's what I'm thinking...
"He passed away 2 weeks ago."
It was exactly what I was thinking. Minho told us a few weeks ago that he can't take any of the pressure that was happening in his anymore so he warned us that he might end up taking his life. We tried to support him all we can but looks like we failed.
"Oh..."
"A-And I had to w-witness it..." She started crying.
Instinctively, my thumb went my phone but I realized that she's not in front of me. I'm just wiping my darn phone screen.
"I'm so sorry, Y/N..."
"Y-You didn't do anything, J-Joongie..." She wiped her tears.
I just stared at her. There was nothing I could do to help her anyways.
"L-Let the others know, ok?"
"Of course."
"How are they?"
"They're doing great."
"Ok, sorry for waking you up at this time, Joongie..."
"It's alright."
If it was someone else I would've lectured the hell out of them...
"Bye." She waved, smiling weakly.
"Yeah, bye. Stay safe, ok?"
She nodded before ending the call. _____________
