"Hurry, we cannot be late on the first day!"

Kate yanked Max through the broad alley. They arrived at the main street and Max looked like a child who had seen a candyfloss and just wasn't able to look away.

"But look at these buildings, they all seem so odd and ordinary at the same time."

Max couldn't begin to imagine where this place would be on a map, or if it even existed in the normal world. It wasn't as easy to adjust to the new ways. After thanking Christine and Fin to the point that made Christine annoyed in such a fashion she pushed them out of the door, Christine had given them directions. They were headed to The Institute of Seneca. There they would be allowed to get a dorm room and information on how to understand their so called gifts better. In reality they weren't going to attend classes like a school. The Institute was more self taught in a sense. They would be surrounded by others who had more knowledge on the matter.
Kate was still dragging Max around and they paced down through the public, in and out between people. They were able to locate the institute just by looking up, the building peering down on every other one. It was early morning, but none of them had the time to be tired because of all the strange new impressions.

"I cannot wait for to get a new dorm room, I want to have that room"

Kate pointed at the seemingly highest room on the building. The building itself looked like a solid rubik's cube, but then the top half was that of a star, making the central tower rise in glory. It was a well made and beautiful building. It contrasted the wild forest that surrounded the city. The wildlife was so rich, it was like polluting wasn't a thing here.
As they got to the base of the building, they met a man at the entrance, who worked as a guard. He was a giant actually, or so Kate thought, but he seemed fairly small because of the how huge the institute was . He waved for them to wait, as he glanced down at the papers in his gloved hand. He wore what looked like a mix of modern and medieval clothes. The way the fabric looked rough mixed with a modern sense of tightness that made it fit perfectly. He looked up as if he was unable to find a match in his papers.

"You need to state your name and affiliation."

Fin had assured them of the simple system and after they spoke as if they have tried this a million times. After stating their connection with Christine and their names, the man searched through the papers. He nodded and gestured for them to continue.

"Security is quite lax, don't you think?"

Max still had her eyes on the guard as they went in through an entrance with a high ceiling.

"I'm sure it's because it would be problematic to find a dorm here without running into people who might recognize you and ask you out. But I do agree he let us in quite easily."

They reached a opening, it resembled a hall and a lot of people were gathered already. A woman, undoubtedly teacher or something important, was patiently answering a question a girl asked, as Kate mumbled something under her breath. Something about the fact that they made it in time afterall.

"So you decided to show up after all, Maxine Caulfield and Kate Beverly Marsh?

The voice echoed, she looked as if age was beginning to catch up to her, even though she had been beautiful in her younger days. With her gray short hair and spotless suit, she could be the principal. Not a single person seemed to react at her statement, as if they were deaf.

"Yes madam, I apologize for the late arriva.."

The woman interrupted Kate.
