The air was thick, dragging down on Kate, who was being carried by Rick. She was laid down while Rick just kept talking to her, trying to get her attention.
After the quest at the Wishes, she had collapsed while they were at her side, even though Christin had chanted energy to her all the time as she was questing, she still collapsed in the end. Leaving Rick and Christin to take care of her.
She was fatigued mentally but also physically, due to her flexing her muscles unconsciously as a response in the real world to the challenge in her mind. The Wish announced Kate had at last completed the quest. And that the spell was in her possession, at that time the timer hit zero.
No one had noticed the blinking indication, therefore they were thrown about, ending with them dropping down onto the floor of the house of Christin.

Christin was attending to the dormant Max with a bothered expression, revealing what bad state she was in, while not allowing to sense what she was thinking. Rick, on the other hand, was rousing Kate as best as he could. They looked at each other for a moment, understanding they were doing the exact same thing.

"Just another day at the job I suppose." She muttered.

Rick was smiling even in the circumstances they were in and lifting the gloomy atmosphere somewhat. Christin was often met with people who needed some kind of medical help, but she scoffed at him.

"Always a good start that we didn't lose any limbs or lost our lives teleporting. Exciting, these rings can come in real handy later."

She stretched her arms out and Rick sighed.

"I'm just relieved I'm not on your bad side. Imagine pissing you off."

"If all my clients had these kinds of issues, I would request way more of The Morstein Academy. At least with the spell now in our hands, we can finally do something about this girl."

Rick just nodded in agreement. And put his hands out in the air over Kate's chest, then he put his mind at work, and put an enormous amount of energy directly from himself into Kate's body.

"Hoa! What happened? We are back at your house now."

The energy functioned like adrenaline. Kate was sitting upright with her back straight as a plank. She looked at Christin and then saw Max lying down, even paler than before they went to find the spell. And her chest didn't move the slightest, in fact, she appeared to be dead.

Kate, still on the effect of the adrenaline flung herself out of the couch and proceeded to Max.

"NO NO! I have the spell, we can revive her. It's not too late."

Christin looked at Kate for a moment. Then she understood what was happening. She smiled and put her hand on her shoulder.

"You don't have to worry, she is safe...for now at least. And the spell. We were told you got it. And I can also feel the magic current in you has increased. But I'm curious, what did you see on the quest? Was it bad?"

Scenes from the quest started flashing in Kate's mind, resulting in her, suddenly, becoming aware of the intense moment of lust that she had had, which she absolutely couldn't tell Christin. Kate looked at her a moment before answering. She was still smiling calmly, but she was way too close at this point, so Kate dragged up a different story.

"No, I mean it wasn't that hard...I was in a giant...forest, yea, and this creature pounced at me out of nowhere. Then, I mean it was hard because my senses were weakened, you know- and..and"

As Kate talked, she nervously stepped back a bit to get free from Christin's grip. It was also quite obvious on Christin's face that she had a hard time believing Kate, who was now waving her hands about to emphasize how the creature looked.
