                                                                        Blood Test Results

    Quin

After a whole week of waiting for the blood test results to come back, they had finally came. I nervously opened the brown envolope. I read through the papers carefully. 99.99% was typed in big, bold letters at the bottom of the paper. Damn. I rubbed my hair. I wasn't mad at all. I was worried about how Lauren would take it.

I laid down and made the baby, so I knew I had to take care of her. I texted my mom and told her to meet me at grandma's. I left in my Tahoe. What do parents do? How can I raise a child? I had so many questions running through my mind. I felt so fucking stressed out. I stopped by Burger King before going to my grandmother's.

They were in the kitchen gossiping, as usual. "Hey my sweet face." Grandma hugged me. I kissed her cheek. "I'm good. How you been?" She smiled. "Blessed." I hugged my momma. "What you been up to ma?" She stuffed a piece of brownie in her mouth. She waited until she swallowed before answering. "Working and trying to get my groove back. What you gotta tell me?" I laughed at her. "It's too late for all that." I handed her the brown envolope. Her and grandma read the papers carefully.

"So, this means I have a grand-daughter?" Momma looked up at me. I nodded. "What a blessing." Grandma smiled. "When me and Selena broke up, I was eighteen. She left right afterwards. She said she was two months pregnant when she left." I explained to them. "How old is she? When will we get to see her?" Momma asked. "She three and today. I'm bout to call Selena now."

I walked outside to the patio. I called Selena. "Hello." She answered. "I'm guessing you got the papers too?" I asked her. "Yeah."

"Cool. You remeber where my grandma stay? They want to see her."

"Okay, be there in five." Selena said. "A'ight." I hung up.

I sat down on the steps, waiting for Selena. I wanted to tell Lauren so I could get that out of the way. I called her phone. "Hello." I loved the sound of her sweet voice. "What you doin?" I asked her. "Watching TV."

"I need to tell you some."

"Okay, I'm listening." I sighed. "About four years ago, I was dating this guh named Selena. We dated two years. We broke up when I was eighteen. Bout a week ago she came back saying that the little girl she had was mine. We took a blood test the same day and today the test came back 99.9 9%."

Lauren stayed quiet on the other end of the phone. I began to feel nervous. "If you thought I was going to be mad, I'm not. That was way before my time. I just hope you take care of her."

"You know imma do that Peaches!" I exclaimed. "Good. So where you at now?" She asked. "My grandma crib. Selena about to bring her so they can meet her."

    "Okay, I'll see you whenever."

"I love you." I told her. I knew Lauren was smiling. "I love you too." I hung up.

I sighed of relief. I was glad that Lauren understood. I expected her to go off like most females, but she didn't.

Selena pulled up into the driveway. I watched as her and Natalie got out of the car. I stood up to greet them. I can't believe this little girl is mine. "Natalie, this is your daddy." Selena told her. She looked up at me and gasped. "Me daddy?" Selena and I laughed at her. She had the most cutest and sweetest voice. Natalie had light brown eyes and curly hair just like me. She looked so beautiful, Angel should've been her name.
