The day had finally came, I was getting out of the hospital! It felt like months rather than two weeks. Ms Leroy and Mr Hernandez helped me from the bed and into the wheelchair. Tiara and my dad gathered the balloons and flowers that he, Rashad, my mom, Sarah, and KaTrece bought me. My mom grabbed my crutches and my bag of clothes. Mr Hernandez wheeled me out of the room and into the elevator. My dad already had his car waiting for me at the exit. He opened the passenger's door and Mr Hernandez helped me in. "You try to stay off your ankle and feel better." He hugged me. "I will." He closed the door. I watched him as he hugged my mom and Tiara before walking away. He was such a nice doctor.
Mom and Tiara got in the back seat, while dad got in on the driver's side. "You a soldier just like ya daddy baby girl." He said before pulling off. "I know." I smiled at him. He popped in a CD and "Sexy Can I" by Ray J started to play. "Terrence don't nobody listen to that no more." My mom said to him. "You crazy! Everybody still listen to this." He turned up the radio. Tiara and I laughed at them. The whole way home, my dad was playing all the old songs.
I noticed Sarah and KaTrece's car in my driveway as we pulled up. My dad got out and opened the door for me. My mom handed the crutches to me and I slowly made my way in the house. I was glad they had it warm cause it was freezing outside. Sarah and KaTrece was sitting on the couch. "You finally home criple!" KaTrece laughed. They both stood up and hugged me. We sat down on the couch. My dad and Tiara put all the balloons and flowers on the table. Gran walked into the living room. "Here you go my baby. I thought you needed a home cooked meal." She handed me a plate of soul food and kissed my cheek before walking back into the kitchen.
"Where's Anthony?' I asked Sarah. "Him and Rashad went to the store." I hadn't seen him since the incident at the hospital and I needed to talk with him. I ate the food while I watched TV. It was so good, as always. My phone started to ring. I grabbed it from my pocket, it was Quin. "Hello." I answered. "Hey baby. Imma stop by before I go to the studio." He said. "I got out of the hospital today. You shouldn't come home until later cause I don't want any drama." He sighed. "A'ight. Love you."
"Love you too." I hung up.
Anthony and Rashad walked through the door. "Hey sis, glad to see you out." Anthony hugged me. Well, I wasn't expecting that. "I'm sorry Anthony." He smiled at me. "It's okay. I'm sorry too." We hugged again. At that moment, I felt complete. "How are you feeling?" Rashad asked me. "Much better." I told him. He nodded before turning away to take the bags into the kitchen.
Sarah and KaTrece started to giggle. "What's so funny?" I looked at them. "Nothing." They said at the same time. Liars! "I do need to talk to you and Trece though." Sarah said. We got up and went into my bedroom. "I'm pregnant." She blurted out. Duhh! I pretended like I didn't know anything. "Oh gosh, that's awesome! I can't believe it." I rubbed her stomach. "Congrats boo. Me and Lauren gonna spoil it." KaTrece smiled.
Gran walked into my bedroom. "Ya mama and daddy about to take me home darling, I'll see you later." She hugged me. "And Rashad told me to tell you he's gone to practice." I nodded my head. "Okay, see you later gran. I love you." I kissed her cheek. "I love you too." She hugged KaTrece and Sarah before leaving out.
Anthony peeked into my bedroom. "You ready to go?" He looked at Sarah. "Where y'all going?" I asked him. "He promised to take me and Tiara out to eat." Sarah said as she hugged me and KaTrece. Her and Anthony left out. "Well, what are we supposed to do now?" KaTrece plopped down on the bed. "Wanna go to the studio? That's where Quin and Myles is." Her face lit up when I said that. "Sure, let's go!" She was totally in love. "Wait, let me take a quick shower."
I made my way to the bathroom and slid off all my clothes. It was a little hard taking a shower, trying not to put pressure on my ankle. I got out and brushed my teeth. I wrapped the large towel around my body. "It's about time you came out of there." KaTrece said as I exited the bathroom. "Whatever. You just ready to see Myles." She blushed. I slipped on my under clothes. I threw on my pink Jordan hoodie and denim jeans. KaTrece rewrapped my ankle and put a black sock on my foot. She put my Timberland boot on my right foot.
"Thanks hun." I said as I stood up to look in the mirror. I decided to let my hair stay in a messy bun and put on my silver hoops. KaTrece handed me the crutches. She made sure all the lights were off and everything was locked up before we left.
"Do you think Myles love me?" KaTrece asked as we stopped at a red light. "Quin is always telling me how he says you're different, he feels something with you, and more. Quin said he never talked like that before. So yes, I do think he loves you." She smiled and started to drive when the light turned green. "Myles make me feel like a queen. I love him so much." She started to cry. "Awe, Trece don't do that. You gonna make me cry." She laughed as she wiped her face. I was happy for my girl. She deserved to be happy.
When we pulled up to the studio, I started to get happy. KaTrece helped me out of the car and closed the door. I could smell marijuana from where I stood. Katrece knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer. Moments later, the door swung open. Myles smiled at us. "Wassup pretty ladies." He hugged KaTrece and then me. "Come on in." He moved out of the way so we could come in. We followed him to the recording room. Quin and three other guys were sitting around smoking.
"Lauren and Trece, these are the boys. Tray, Joe, and Champ." Myles introduced us. We shook each one of their hands. Quin signaled for me to come here. I went over to him and he sat me down in his lap. "I thought you had company." He looked at me. "I did, but everyone left. Me and Trece ain't have nothing to do, so we just popped up." I told him. He started to kiss me. "Get a room freaks." The Champ guy said. Quin and I laughed at him. "Don't look nigga." Champ smacked his lips. "You expect me not to notice y'all choking on each other's tongues." Everyone laughed, including us.
"Forgot you fool. Let me up baby." I stood up to let Quin up and sat back down. "Let's start where we left off." He told Myles. Quin went to the other side of the glass and put headphones on. Myles started up a beat. It was my first time ever hearing Quin sing. He sounded so good! I was proud of my baby.
Short chapter , I know . but I wanted to gone and get this over with. Cause the remaining of this book, is gonna be sad and surprising. Stay tuned.
