Chapter 24: Battle Royale (Revised)

The Battle Royale began. Shiro's team went on as they planned, going to their designated starting positions. Mai went out first, leaving the rest of them in the room. She dashed out from the hotel, sneaking through the roofs and climbing the walls of the arena to the peak of it. The perfect place for her to spy and watch their enemies' movements.

Angela and Claude also left the team minutes after Mai left. They roam through the streets, staying lowkey and keeping themselves in the shadows. As hunters, they are the team's offense and tasked to take down the other teams. Samantalang, nanatili naman sa kwarto nila sina Reiki, Hya at Shiro at pinapakiramdaman ang paligid.

Sa loob naman ng arena, naroon ang mga natirang miyembro ng Clove. Ang Mystic Ball na pinangangalagaan ni Sheena ay nasa loob ng kaniyang jacket at siya'y napapalibutan ng mga kaibigan niya. They decided not to leave Sheena alone and always make sure she's with someone wherever she goes. Besides that, King Zeyan along with the rest of the royal families are present to witness the final event of the tournament. Each on their private seats designated only for them.

Shiro moved from their spot, going out of the hotel and into the shadows to conceal themselves. Nang mabasa nila kanina ang line-up ng lahat ng grupo na in-announce gamit ang isang holographic screen, ipinagtaka nila ang pagpapalit ng lider ng Fortis. Worse of it, they made Wrath as their leader and Kale as a defender. Hindi nila alam kung bakit nangyari 'yon pero nakakapanigurado silang may masamang balak si Wrath sa grupo nila.

The teams moved on and about, scurrying through the roads and streets in their cloaks, avoiding any fighting that could happen. The city is wide and massive for a battlefield and it could take a long time for the teams to ran into each other. And they only have a time limit of 12 hours. Once you're down, as long as your team's healer is standing you can go back to the battlefield. But if your team's healer is down, the whole team is eliminated from the whole game.

The more time ticks, the battlefield will shrink until only a small portion of the whole capital city is available.

Their leader, Horus, sitting leisurely in one of the seats inside a bar and drinking nonchalantly. Other than that, no sign of Wrath can be found.

It made Mai disturbed knowing that he could have forfeited without anyone knowing. He might ambush Sheena and the others and steal the Mystic Ball from them.
