Angela

"No." I declined as soon as they asked the question.

"What?" They exclaimed in my face. "Seriously?"

"Yes. I am not planning on buying another gown."

"Yes, what other choice do I have." Irita kong sagot.

The fact that I'm going to another social gathering in a gown drains my energy. I'm not even the least excited about this prom they were talking about. Last year, I attended the prom but ended up going home after an hour. And this year, the prom will be held in different locations. The school rented 10 locations to be the prom's venue for the 10 sections of grade 10. It was a waste of time and energy.

I sighed, grumbling as the four girls scramble inside my closet, looking for something for me to wear on the day of the prom. It was the weekends today and one week from now ang prom namin sa isang garden venue 'di kalayuan sa campus. And all of my classmates are preparing for that day. There were only a few of us that weren't as interested in it as the others. It was too much of a headache for me to think about all the troublesome things.

"Nope, nope, you are buying a new gown. I won't let you wear the same thing you wore nung birthday ni Hya." Anne insisted.

"I agree." Sang-ayon ni Shiro.

"Nuh-uh, I told you I'm not buying another gown only to be worn once in my lifetime." I declined.

Hya sighed while Mai continued to rummage through my closet. Both Shiro and Anne continued to force and insist me to buy another one and even saying facts on why I should do it. I ignored them and did not listen to anything they say. It was a waste money. No way in heck!

"I think hindi na nga natin kailangang bumili..." Mai mumbled after she pulled herself out of her closet. She pulled a rectangular box out of my closet, tied with a red ribbon. A card placed on top of it. "This is surely a gown's box and its brand new."

"Sa'n galing 'yan?" Shiro asked.

"I have no idea where that came from, I swear!" I roared.

Dear Angela,

Para sa iyo ang gown na ito. I heard that your prom ay malapit na so

I bought you one as a present I hope you like it.

PS. Its black don't worry.

Since when did she sneaked in this box inside my room? I've been watching her keenly everytime she's staying for the weekends. And since when has this box been here. Wait, don't tell me...

"Shush." Bawal ko habang nag-ri-ring ang phone ko. After a couple of rings, he finally answered his phone and before he could even talk, inunahan ko na siya. I asked.
