Shiro

My footsteps echoed in the nearly empty halls of the school as I made my way to the principal's office. I'm alone and no one with me to accompany me. Because, there is a matter I have to talk about with Master Gil before graduation arrive.

Nag-angat siya ng tingin sa akin at agad akong binati, "Shiro, what brings you here?"

I firmed my ground, standing proud on my spot. "Master, may gusto po sana aking pag-usapan sa inyo." Panimula ko. "My last wish as the Student Council President."

Master let my words sink in and offered me a seat. His office was the same as always. Window curtains hung up wide open, piles of unread documents stacked and piled on his desk and a trench coat hanging behind his seat.

"So, what do you wish to talk about?" He asked. His elbow set on the desk and his hands intertwined.

"I'll get straight to the point, I want the magic education system to be removed in the next school year and the following years forever." I stated.

I build up my confidence and courage and continued, "Gusto ko rin po sana na sa susunod na assignating of the Student Council, maisagawa ito bilang eleksyon. No more special treatment to Auregon student, no more magic-related events and activities; especially missions.

"If possible, ang lahat ng magic-related subject ay pwede pa ring maituro as long as its not mandatory. Both student of Auregon and Mortal World will coexist with one another as regular students.

Master Gil's mouth gaped, unsure what to make up of the things I stated. His thoughts deepen as he made a decision whether to agree to my proposal or not.

"Are you sure of this, Shiro? If this is implemented, the old way won't be brought back anymore." Master reminded.

"Yes, sigurado na po ako." Sagot ko.

He sighed. But I will have to discuss this with thr admins as well." Paliwanag niya. "I will inform you of the outcome."

"Thank you po, Master."

My stiff shoulders finally relaxed and my mind drifted calmly. Now, I don't have to worry about the school's future. The students will be treated equally like the way they were all supposed to be.

*****

I flattened neatly my uniform and made my tie.

Our moving-up ceremony. We were only first-years, year ago and now, look at where we are.

I got down the stairs, entering the living room where the whole family is gathered. Mama and papa are there, along with Kuya Larcade who went in to trouble just to get here. To witness us graduate.

Yuki stood beside them, wearing his full uniform in a proper way. It might have been the first time that I see him wear it that way. Though, his tie is a little crooked on the side. Tamad.
