Shiro

I woke up, my head feeling drowsy as the blinding light swarm my eyes. I sat down and looked through the window beside me. From the familiarity of the room, nasa hotel na muli kami.

Nikki was out of the room, probably somewhere around the premises. I stared down at my hands, feeling the heat of it. My flames are back to normal. It was back to its orange-red color.

Must've been exhaustion.

The door clicked at iniluwa nito si papa. Neither is fun.

"Gising ka na pala." Wika niya nang tuluyang makapasok.

Guilt ran through me at wala akong nagawa kundi ang mapayuko at humingi ng tawad, "I'm sorry I act rashly."

Papa approached me, sitting on the edge of the bed. He held my hand and smiled bitterly. "I'm just glad my daughter is okay."

As long as you and Yuki are safe." He answered. "But, you'll still have a punishment when we get home."

I smiled gave papa a hug. I broke off from him, remembering my friends.

He answered na nasa kwarto raw sila, while the others are somewhere roaming around. I gulped as he stared at me intimidatingly.

The memory of what happened during the fight in the old castle crossed my mind and I wished na sana walang sinabi si Yuki tungkol do'n. He was super shocked at the time so I do hope na itinikom niya ang bibig niya.

In the end, papa answered my question and when I asked if I could visit him, he said no. Nakahinga naman ako ng maluwag nang sabihin niya na nasa maayos itong kondisyon. I pouted but then remembered something I hadn't told papa or any of my friends.

The thing between me and Reiki. I should definitely mention in any time now. Surely, my friends have already had their suspicions. Which is why I have to tell them sooner than later.

Hya, Mai and Reiki entered the room, along with Nikki who has a tray of food in her hands.

"Shiro, you're awake." Maligayang wika ni Hya at nilapitan ako.

"Good morning?" Mai greeted.

"Good timing! Time for you to eat." Nikki said and placed the tray of food in the table next to me. Make sense since hindi naman nakipaglaban 'yung tatlo.

He just stared at me from his spot, far from me. I looked at him confused and squinted my eyes. His eyes gestured, pointing towards papa's direction. I followed his gaze and it landed to papa. He was staring at Reiki with both murderous and wary eyes. I jerked because of papa's childish attitude.
