Chapter 41: Welcome Back to Clove High (Revised)

A week of travelling and we have finally arrived back at Clove. Though, the shipride still made us all feel seasick, nothing else went wrong. As soon as we arrive, we were welcomed with a parade. The royal family even made an appearance just for this occasion. A heartwarming welcome from our kingdom. I couldn't ask for more.

And since Sunday kami nakauwi, once the celebratory welcome ended, bumalik na rin kami kaagad sa Mortal World. Dahil starting tomorrow, we'll be back in our normal high school life. And most of us cannot wait for it.

And dahil isang linggo rin kaming naglakbay pauwi, our wounds and injuries completely healed. Although Claude's arm and Angela's body hasn't fully recovered yet because of the degree of burn they had. They were lucky the doctors and healers healed their skin completely. Nearly brand new. Kailangan lang nilang maka-recover and they're as good as new again.

As soon as makapasok kaming tatlo nila papa at Yuki sa loob ng bahay, sinalubong agad kami ni mama at niyakap. Behind her, kuya Larcade stood na handa na rin sumugod sa amin at yakapin kami hanggang sa matumba kami. Mama and kuya prepared our dinner and we enjoyed the rest of the night.

Morning came and as a usual routine, I woke up late and Yuki poured cold water all over me again. Our daily routine and I gotta admit, I slightly missed it. Wala kasing gumawa nu'n sa'kin for 3 weeks. As soon as I head down to the dining table, naroon na sila Reiki naghihintay na dumating ako ng makaalis na kami. Surprisingly, papa hasn't quit his job as our teacher yet. Dapat kasi siya ang katulong ni mama sa pagma-manage ng business namin dito sa Mortal World and also his job as a part of the Magic Council. What's with us being teachers? Kuya took education in college and papa is currently a teacher.

As soon as we arrive at school, students swarm the car from afar. Papa left first and moved on a different route. Sumunod naman akong lumabas at iniwan 'yung dalawa sa loob. I headed straight to the council office kung saan naabutan ko si Angela na nagbabasa ng libro. Of course, sino pa bang una kong aabutan dito kundi siya.

What's more impressive is that wala kaming kahit anong papeles sa lamesa. It was the time of the year for a school fieldtrip pero wala pa ring mga recommendations na nandito. Or walang fieldtrip dahil laging may camping trip.

"Aga as usual." I greeted.

"I'm surprise na maaga ka ngayon."

Hya and Mai arrived minutes later and syempre Anne and Alfred are running late as usual. Kailan ba sila naging maaga, never; unless may kalokohan silang balak. And because we have no work on the student council office, we chose to go back to our classroom where everyone congratulated us. They even popped balloons on top of our heads. We were followed by the Best 4 na kagagaling lang sa tambayan nila. They also popped balloons on top of their heads like us.

"Congrats!!! Clove won!" Sigaw ni Mika.

"Congratulation! Celebrate tayo mamayang uwian!" Skye demanded.

"Libre ko na foods, don't worry." Jacob suggested.

"Ako rin." Rowena added.

"Anyari sa inyong dalawa?" tanong ni Blade at tinuro sila Angela at Claude na parehong hindi pa magaling. Claude's arm covered in bandage, while Angela's bandaged arms and legs concealed by our uniform sweater and socks.

"Haven't you heard the news yet?" Miku asked. "That Dark Abyss ruined the festival."

"Luh, seryoso. 'Edi nakalaban niyo sila?" Sebastian asked, awed.

"Oo. Kaya nga ang lala ng tinamo nila di'ba." Euclid pointed.

Papa entered along and behind him ang pagpasok nila Anne at Alfred na sakto ang dating. We quickly went to our seats at muntik pa akong maligaw dahil do'n. I completely forgot na sa harap pala ako nakaupo at katabi si Alfred. Masyadong nilamon ng tournament ang utak ko.
