Chapter 10

L I S A

I froze from my place when I saw Jisoo on the brink of passing out with Chaeyoung and Jennie around her. What happened? I just got in time when Seulgi looked like she wanted to punish Joohyun.

I was back in reality when Seulgi instructed them and quickly went to start the van. Joohyun remained frozen as she watched Jisoo being carried by Chaeyoung as Jennie anxiously searched for the contact number she needed to call. She flinched when I grabbed her by the shoulders and led her to the van.

Once we were in our seats, I wrapped an arm around her as I calmed her down. My heart was racing because I was worried and confused about what's gotten wrong between Jisoo and Joohyun. My free hand was shaking from the sudden shock. Jisoo looked so weak and pale.

We were all waiting outside while the doctors did their jobs as to why Jisoo collapsed. We were all a mess; Jennie was crying, wrapped around Chaeyoung's embrace, Seulgi was pacing around, Joohyun was still shaking, and I felt numb.

We saw Dara walking fast in our direction a few minutes later, along with Seunghyun and Seokjin following behind her. Compared to all of us, she was the most stressed. I didn't know why but it hurt seeing her like that.

"What happened? Where is she? Is she okay? I need to see her," Dara rambled to Seulgi, standing in front of her. She sobbed even further when Seulgi gave no reply, and Seughyun held her before she barged into the room where Jisoo was.

"Ho-Honey, you can't go in there,"

"I need to. I need to see if my baby's fine,"

"What happened?" Seokjin asks.

"S-She collapsed,"

"Is Dr. Kwon in there right now?" He asks, making Joohyun look up at the familiar name.

"She is, and she said that we have to prepare for the worst," 

Prepare for the worst? What does she mean by that?

"S-Seokjin-ah, what is wrong with Jisoo?" Joohyun couldn't help but ask. Everyone's attention was on us, making me more confused. Was there something we didn't know? Dara was about to say something when the doctor came out.

"Y-Yuri, what happened?" Dara asks, almost in a pleading manner. Dr. Kwon's face was not happy. It felt like bad news.

"Jisoo's getting worse; she needs to start chemotherapy. We'll have to start running tests for Joohyun and Seokjin to see if their bone-marrow match in case we'll have to go for the last resort," She explains and excuses herself. Joohyun and I stare dumbfounded at them. Chemotherapy? Tests for Joohyun and Seokjin's bone marrow? The last resort? My heart squeezed tight.

"Joohyun-ah," Dara softly calls, and Joohyun stares at her in horror.
