Lana's POV
I entered the car again and let out a sigh.
"Wow," Melody showed me a small smile. "Was it that bad?"
I looked at her. "No, it wasn't." I then handed her her wallet.
"Thanks," She put her wallet away in her purse before looking at me. "How did it go?" She then spotted the little notebook I had. "And what's that?"
I looked at the notebook. "A notebook."
"I see that," She looked at me. "Why do you have it?"
I looked outside the window again. What do I say? I can't tell her the real reason, I don't want her to get involved with Shax...
"Lana?" She pulled my face to face hers. "Why do you have that?"
I gulped. "I have to keep a diary," I smiled a bit, happy with the fast lie. "So we can discuss this next time."
She nodded. "That's good," She smiled a bit. "She seems great."
"She is," I let out a deep sigh. "Can we go home?"
"Sure." She started the car and we drove home.

Later that evening, we did as Melody had promised: we watched a movie together. She had picked out the movie. It's a romantic one, she'd say.
I was laying in her arms, a blanket was covering us. Melody was enjoying the movie while I couldn't help but think. Melody had changed a lot. And I didn't know if I liked this new version. I should, she's caring, loving, sweet, kind... Everything I ever wanted. But I didn't want it now. She just put on this facade because I am 'suicidal' and 'depressed'. I don't know if I liked her changing into this nicer person just because of that.
Melody let out a laugh, indicating the movie must be funny too. I let out a breath as I looked down again, away from the screen. Melody did care about me, yet she took away my passion from me. I wasn't allowed to write, I wasn't allowed to do the thing I love, I wasn't allowed to do the thing that would keep me safe... She didn't know how much she endangered me.
"That was a nice movie," Melody said, gaining my attention. "Don't you think?"
I showed her a small smile. "Yeah, it was."
Melody got up and turned off the tv. "Let's go to bed." She said, a hint in her eyes. She walked to me and helped me up. She also helped me to our room, even though I could walk on my own again.
We arrived in our room. I immediately sat down on the bed. I got undressed and started getting dressed in pajamas.
"Lana."
I looked up and saw Melody in a laced bra and matching panties. Oh no...
She walked to me and pushed me down onto the bed before crawling over me. "That movie got me in the mood," She leaned down and started planting kisses along my jaw and neck. "I want you." She breathed onto my skin.
I gulped. "Mel," I pushed her up a bit, so she'd be able to see me. "I'm tired."
She raised her eyebrows. "Really?" She leaned down again, planting kisses along my neck again. "I want you so badly."
I sighed and looked away, blocking her access.
She pulled back. "Ok," She got off me. "Let's sleep then." She went to lay down, not bothering to undo her bra and panties.
I sighed as I knew I had hurt her. "Goodnight Mel."
And I got my confirmation when Melody turned off the lights but didn't reply to me anymore.

It was dark when I suddenly woke up. I immediately feared for the worst, for Shax. I gulped as I reached for my bedside light. But I didn't see Shax. And I frowned.
Then I heard something in the bathroom. Hesitantly, I got up and walked to it. Every step I took, my heart started beating faster. My eyes were glued to the bathroom door, and it's as if something inside me told me not to go near it...
I reached the door and saw that the lights were on, and I could see a shadow. I gulped, this could be Shax. This could be Shax luring me here to get rid of me. Then I wondered, should I wake up Melody? But did I want Shax to harm her?
I decided to let Melody sleep, she's probably still mad at me for turning her down anyway... I reached for the doorknob and gulped. Please don't be Shax, please don't be Shax...
I opened the door and let out a breath. "Bree," I sighed relieved. "What are you doing here?"
Bree didn't look at me, she had her back turned to me.
I frowned then. "Bree?" I gulped immediately, this wasn't normal behavior for Bree. "B-Bree?"
She sniffled before turning around. "Help me."
My eyes widened. "Bree!" I rushed to her and immediately put my hand on her abdomen. "What happened?" I looked at her abdomen, which was gushing blood.
She sniffled, she seemed shocked.
"Bree," I moved my head directly in front of her eyes so she'd have to look at me. "What happened? Who did this to you? And why?"
She looked at me, I could see she was terrified. "S-Shax..."
My heart dropped. "Shax? Shax did this?"
She nodded softly.
"H-how?" I reached for some tissues and tried to stop the bleeding. "What happened?"
She looked at what I was doing. "Shax attacked me, out of nowhere," She looked at me. "It never looked at me, I don't understand why it would suddenly attack me..."
I got up and reached for the bandages we had. I took some antiseptic and put some on the wound. "I don't know either," I then started bandaging her up. "What did Wednesday do? Did she fight Shax?"
Bree looked at me. "No," She gulped. "She didn't show."
I looked up at her, and I could see we were both very worried then. Wednesday would never let anything happen to Bree. So for her not to show herself was very troublesome. "I haven't seen the others in a while," I gulped. "Have you?"
She shook her head. "But if you want to see them, just dream about them. They'll come back then."
I slowly nodded. "You're right," I looked at my work on her abdomen. "That looks better."
Bree nodded before smiling at me. "Thank you."
"Of course," I got up and pulled her up too. "Get some rest, Bree."
"I will," She slowly started disappearing. "Goodnight, Lana." And she was gone.
"Goodnight, Bree." I smiled before going back to my bed. On my way there, I was aware of the fact that Shax could be lurking around. Though, right now, I was focused on dreaming and finally speaking to Wednesday, Estelle, and Christina again. They'll have to help me get rid of Shax.
I laid down in bed, closed my eyes, and finally drifted off to sleep.
