This is the third OC I made (yep another girl, I've never drawn a boy yet). Though a major WIP (again, only appearance and basic personality) I did think about her a bit more since I tried to make a comic about her (it's unfinished and probably won't be finished) that I won't include because it wouldn't be possible to read. I tried to experiment with my art style and how I draw things in this one, plus trying to draw new things. I finished her the day after I finished Lily.

There she is (sorry for the bad lighting on the top. JSYK, there's a word on the left side of the page near her head that reads "Kelli".)

Okay, so here are the features I included and why I included them:

-Dark skin=>I wanted to have a character with a darker skin tone since the others were white. It also provided a balance of black and white in the piece
-High ponytail=>I decided to try drawing a different hairstyle, and if it wasn't high enough it would look like she had no hair
-Dark hair=>I didn't want this character to have dyed hair so I decided that dark hair would work better for her, considering her skin tone
-Light lips=>I wanted there to be contrast between the lips and the rest of the face and thought the best way to do that was to make them white. If I drew this now I would probably make the lips a light gray, but I'm keeping it as it is
-Jersey=>I decided to draw a character that played sports, so basketball came to mind. At this point I had to come up with a school mascot, and after a few minutes I thought of a raptor. It didn't take long to make Kelli the number 12, so then the jersey was drawn
-Shorts=>To complete the basketball outfit, I added black basketball shorts
-Basketball=>I thought that adding a basketball to the picture would make it more clear that she plays basketball
-Stars in Background=>I decided that she would be pretty good at basketball so the stars would work with her skill level. They also achieve a better balance of black in white in the picture

I developed this character more than the others and even made a one-and-a-half page comic about her (with herself as the protagonist). Still a WIP, but here's what I did come up with:

-Athletically capable
-Curious
-A bit naive
-Wants to try new things, but is a bit hesitant and needs encouragement and someone who thinks she can do it to attempt
-Best friends with Sophia and friends with Lisa
-Aged 12 years
-Afraid of failure/not being good at something

Little Tidbit: She's a new kid at school

Here's the major critiques I have about this character appearance-wise:

-The face isn't symmetrical
-Lips aren't symmetrical
-She doesn't look like she's realistically holding the basketball
-The upper left (from her perspective) is too thin
-Basketball is disproportionately small
-The head is disproportionately large
-Leg split should occur sooner (leg-wise)
-The legs are smaller than the torso
-The right (from her perspective) eye is both too large and shaped differently from the other one
-That nose is tooooooo small

But here's what I'm proud of/what I improved in this artwork:

-Putting the ponytail holder in the hair and making it look halfway realistic
-Achieving curly/wavy/untamed hair
-I added lines that show the elbows, which I haven't done before and thought that they made the bends in the arms more clear
-The eyelids were dropped
-I'm proud of block number "12" on the jersey, looks pretty realistic
-The jersey as a whole I'm proud of, especially since I haven't drawn that before. You can tell that the shoulder straps go behind the back eventually and look realistic, and I think that the jersey look as a whole was pretty realistic, so I'm proud of that

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd that's all for her!

Just dream until your dreams come true! Ta-ta for now!
