Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd now for the grand finale of The OC Squad! As with all of the other members of this set, I just drew them and thought about their personality faintly. I finished her the day after I finished Piper.
There she is! (JSYK, the name reads "Lisa" and her T-Shirt reads thusly: Shoot for the MOON. Even if you miss, you'll land among the STARS!")
Here's the features I included in the artwork and the reason I included them:
-Name=>Like all of the other names of the OCs, I thought that the name Lisa was a good one and fit the character
-Hair=>I wanted a balance of light and dark in the piece so I gave her light hair, especially since the only other OC with no hair colored in is Emily. Shoulder-length hair is a bit shorter than Emily's and I wanted to draw that hair length on a character
-T-Shirt=>Once I drew the background I made the shirt a gray color to create more contrast between them and achieve a better balance of black and white. I discovered the quote on the shirt a year ago and thought it to be inspirational, so I incorporated it into the character
-Sweatpants=>I decided that the sweatpants shouldn't be colored in to create better contrast between them and the shirt, and to make the outfit complete, I added a star to the pants so it went with the shirt
-Background=>Not only does the star tie in with the "space" theme, it also shows how most people see her as a star at whatever she doesHere's Lisa's personality that I thought of. I did take a lot of inspiration from myself, though I exaggerated some qualities:
-Aged 12 years (dunno why but I want to point out that I'm not 12)
-Best friends with Kelli, friends with Sophie, talks to Emily
-Athletically gifted (pretty good at sports but that not her main interest)
-Smart and pretty nerdy
-Doesn't really like popularityHere are the major critiques I have about this character appearance-wise:
-The left (from her perspective) shoulder doesn't look right
-Head is disproportionately larger than the torso, and the legs are disproportionately smaller than the torso
-The star in the background isn't symmetrical
-The left (from her perspective) forearm is a bit thicker than the upper armHere's all of the things I'm proud of in this piece:
-The hair is realistic
-The eyes are similar in size and shape
-Face is pretty symmetrical
-T-Shirt is pretty realistic
-Pants are pretty realisticThat is all! This concludes The OC Squad (of humans). I will be adding more of my artwork soon! Ta-ta for now!
