While looking for names for my OCs family I came across this word and thought that it would be a great name. I immediately came up with a simple personality for her, so I decided to expand on it and turn her into an official OC!

Name: Alluvium Name Meaning: Alluvium means "a deposit (of dirt) left by flowing streams in a river valley delta, typically producing fertile soil" Nickname: Her sibs call her "Allu" when they're being playful and her pet name (used only by her mate) is "luv"
Gender: Female Sexuality: Straight
Tribe: Mudwing Rank Within Tribe: Bigwings; Commoner
Appearance: (see above) Mostly a gingerbread color with a tawny orange head, half of the neck, and legs. The underbelly is a tortilla color and the horns are a dark umber. The snout is a coffee color, the spine ridge is walnut brown, and the wing membranes are a cinnamon color. Talons are peach while the wingclaws (wingtips? what do you call them?) are basically the same color as the horns. The eyes are a dark mint green like the marsh. She's pretty tall, lean, and muscular since she's the Bigwings and has fought in the war.
Sibs (in order from second oldest to youngest): Brunette (F), Beaver (M), Peat (F), Taupe (M) Birthtime: In the middle of the War of Sandwing Succession (after the Mudwing allegiance switches to Burn) Age: Still don't fully understand dragon years, so I'll just say 30 in human years
Strengths: Alluvium is really caring, loyal, and loving to her sibs, she's a natural leader and loves to take charge, plus she's is also smarter than the other tribes think Mudwings to be. She tries to train her siblings to their strengths so that they could each be Bigwings if they needed to. Because of her leading but compliant nature, all of her sibs love her, look up to her, and want to fight with and for her no matter what. Alluvium loves training/teaching/instructing and it is a natural fit for her, since she seems to have unending patience with everyone she meets. Flaws: Alluvium is impatient with herself, wanting to become good at anything within the first five times she tries it. She feels a pressure to be a good Bigwings no matter how much her sibs tell her how great it is. She is too humble that compliments just fly over her head and beats herself up when she does something wrong. She is easily fooled once, but never fooled twice.

Backstory: As soon as Alluvium was born she was swimming in any water she could, not caring that she wouldn't be able to breathe fire. The first moment she broke open her siblings' eggs she made sure to protect them and train them so they could hold their own. She loved each of them, treating them kindly and with patience. Alluvium and her group of sibs were thrust into the War of Sandwing Succession to fight for Burn. Their group stuck together and seemed to come out of most encounters with minimal injuries. That is, until the battle at the Diamond Spray Delta. The fight with those Icewings was the most devastating day of Alluvium's life. Just one step out of formation and Beaver fell from a nasty swipe of a serrated claw. Brunette took the frostbreath that was going to hit Taupe. After those losses Alluvium couldn't stand the battle anymore and fled to the other edge of the Mud Kingdom with her two remaining siblings. She never goes into battle anymore (neither do Peat and Taupe) but trains other dragons so that they do not meet the same fate as her fallen sibs. Because of her slightly overprotective nature, she jumped at the chance to have dragonets with a Seawing and be a loving mother.
TL;DR of Backstory: Alluvium loves to swim and doesn't really breathe fire because of it. She loves, trains, and cares for her siblings. They fought for Burn in the War of Sandwing Succession and were really successful at fighting until the battle with the Icewings at the Diamond Spray Delta. There the group lost Brunette and Beaver, and feeling of loss prompted Alluvium and the alive siblings to flee to the other edge of the Mud Kingdom, who will never fight anymore but Alluvium trains others so that they don't die like her sibs did. Since she's very protective and loving she married a Seawing so she could raise her children.
AU?: Doesn't need to exist in one, but might Fanfic?: Not likely, maybe a short story or two
