soulmate au/ Part 2

MJ's POV
I was getting ready for tonight. I tried my best to tame my wild hair, and change my shirt into something nicer. I grabbed my purse, I waved goodbye to my parents and ran out ready to meet the boy who I recently found out was Peter. He gave me his number earlier, so I decided to text him letting him know I'm almost there.

I closed my phone, putting it in my purse when I felt a sharp pain in my leg. What the actual fuck Peter?! I just texted him! Omg! The pain was too much to handle.

I bit my tongue, dragging myself into an alleyway, yelping in pain. I shut my eyes trying my hardest not to scream out loud, when a masked vigilante appeared in my face, upside down. Spiderman.
"Are you okay miss?" He said offering me a hand. I declined to say.

"Just swell. My soulmate being an idiot again."
I looked at the masked red hero, wondering where I heard that voice.
It was sort of recognizable. I thought for a few seconds before it dawned on me.
It was Peter. I silently muttered his name hoping he wouldn't notice, partly swishing he would confirm my thoughts.

"Excuse me?"
I stood up and kicked my leg against the brick wall as hard as I could, most likely breaking a toe.

"What did- ow what the fuck!" He clutched his toe in pain.

"I knew it"

Peter's POV
"Peter?" She whispered silently. Thanks to my hearing I heard everything.

" Excuse me?" I replied confused. How the hell did Mj know?

" What did- ow what the fuck!" It hurt so bad. I clutched my toe in pain looking at the tall girl in front of me.

"I knew it"
I sighed taking off my mask, clutching it in my slender fingers.

"How did you know? And what was that for?!"

"1. Your voice sounded exactly like his and 2. I had to double-check" she shrugged not making it sound like it was a huge deal.

"No wonder you get injured so often. You're damn spider man!"
I looked at her sheepishly.

"I'm so sorry for everything" I apologized sincerely feeling especially bad for all the shit I put her through.

"You were just doing your job," she said smiling ever so lightly, her eyes not meeting mine. I smiled back, finally finding the one who I was going to spend the rest of my life with.

"So are you still up for that coffee?"

" For sure" she grinned finally looking at me.

"I-uh could you um, please turn around " I coughed awkwardly turning a shade of red. She blushed but brushed it off with a smirk saying

"Okay" and turned around
I quickly changed back into my clothing. I turned around smiling brightly.

"Shall we go?"

"Yup" we walked side by side, our fingers brushing. I grabbed her hand and enclosed my fingers around hers, feeling the red string tug.

There was a shock wave that went through my arms of her touch. We walked together to the cafe, finally truly happy, as we found our other half. Our soulmate.
