The girls didn't start walking again for about 2 days after Cam woke up. She tried to help Lily as much as she could but Lily wouldn't let her lift a finger.

"You literally were unconscious not even 48 hours ago. You can not help," Lily said almost pushing her back down. "Here. Eat this." She handed Cam a granola bar that she had in her bag.

"These are like the only things we've eaten this who time." Cam started to complain as she opened the bars wrapping.

"These were like the only things that would keep other than raw pasta."

"Why didn't we bring any of that? That stuff's my favorite."

"That's not........healthy."

"Ok fine."

Once the girls started walking again, Cam started to complain.

"When are we going to be there."

"When death decides to come for us and our 'quest'" Lily put air quotes around the word quest.

"It is a quest thank you very much."

"Ok whatever."

The girls were walking through yet another tunnel when something came rumbling from somewhere ahead. A pounding sound of some sort. When the sound started becoming louder, a faint figure popped into sight. It looked pretty normal-sized from far away. Then once the girls realized that it would just get bigger, they ran. They ran as fast as they could until Cam had a better idea.

"Wait."

"Please don't get us killed"

"Rude. No, I have an idea" Cam picked a giant chunk of rock out of the wall to create a small cave. Then once the girls were inside, she broke the boulder into small pebbles. Then with as much force as possible, she pelted the unknown beast with them. They were like small bullets that rained on the monster. Once the pebbles reached it, it let out a loud noise. Somewhere between a grunt, roar, and groan. Once the shower or bullets finished, it advanced once again. Cam readied another round of the rocks. Lily also decided that she could do some good as well. She created an actual shower of small droplets. Again, with as much force as they could muster, they showered the monster. Again the monster just moved on after a momentary wave of pain. The girls could now see that it was some kind of ogre cyclops thing. Lily immediately got out her bow and her quiver. She took about 2 seconds to aim and shot the monster. Cam was very impressed. She looked very calm but Lily actually had many gears turning in her head. Like what angle she had to shoot at, how far back she had to pull, and she had to account the monsters movement, though she ended up hitting it spot on. She set up and made many more shots until the monster was on the ground. Cam got the longsword and cautiously made her way to the beast.

"Remember the last time you did that?" Lily said reminding her of past events

"Actually I don't."

Lily pinched her freckled nose and watched her friend. Cam was scared to do what she had to. She had never killed something other than spiders. She even hated to do that.

"Uh Lils."

"What"

"I just remembered."

"What."

"I don't know how to do this."

"Are you kidding me?"

"No. You killed the dragon last time."

"I swear sometimes."

"What!?!"

"You were pretty much the one that got us out of there alive. Now kill that thing before it kills us." She emphasized it while nudging her head in the ogre's direction. "You have killed more of these things virtually than we've eaten those bars. And that's saying something."

"I guess your right," Cam said and quickly observed the beast. She was looking for the best place to strike first

"Please hurry before something happens."

"Shut up and let me think. I thought you said I knew what I was doing."

"Well, let's not go that far but carry on."

Cameron circle the beast once, twice, and a third time. Then she stopped and lifted up the sword so that the point of the blade was facing down towards the ogre. She closed her eyes and pushed the blade down. Some weird blue goo got all over Cam and she scrunched up her face and nose when it hit her. Lily doubled over in laughter.

"Here let me help you." She said before spraying cam with water. In a couple of seconds, she was soaked because it took a while to get all the goo off.

"Gee thanks," Cam said annoyed and dripping.

"Hey it's either that or you have some weird snot stuff on you."

"I guess." Cam went over to the monster to retrieve the sword from its side. She thought it would be better to impale it there because she could get to the heart faster. She had played enough role-playing games to know what to do. She was actually quite proud of herself to know that those games actually helped her. Her mom could never tell her otherwise again. When Cam pulled out the sword, not only did it have the same goo stuff on it, but the ogre also disintegrated immediately. This confused the girls but they decided not to question it.

"Can we just camp here tonight?" Lily asked

"I guess," Cam replied. "I don't wanna walk anymore today."

So that's where the girl's adventures ended for today. They got a decent amount of sleep and were pretty recharged for the events that would unfold tomorrow.
