Ch. 10? This is war

~Flashback~

"You wouldn't dare." Cam scowled and hoisted up her sword, ready to strike.

~End Flashback~

"Oh dear Cameron. I don't think you want to do that. It wouldn't be very wise of you. That's why you were always my least favorite. Always jumping into action. Not thinking about the consequences or how it could hurt others. That's why you ended up here. You weren't thinking. You dragged Lily here as well. The only thing you are going to get out of this is, well, nothing. You're not leaving. You are going to die here with you stupid little friends." Mr. Yates circled around the girls while saying this. He was hoping for a reaction, and a reaction is what he got.

"Get in line, Mr. Yates. There are many, many people who hate me just as much as you do and would probably like to be in your position right now. But I don't care. I'm here to save my friend. It's not my fault that I was thrown into this. Technically, you brought us here. You knew that we're Ollie's friends. Heck, I would die for her. I'm pretty sure I'm about to. When you took her, you raised our suspicions. We were just smart enough to follow her. And it led us to our deaths. But, as I said before, I would die fro Ollie. So come. At. Me." Cam deepened her scowl but lowered her weapon. She dropped it completely and threw her bag to the side.

"Cam. What are you doing." Lily growled at Cam as she disarmed herself.

"Lily, I'm willing to die. I've accepted it. As long as it saves you too, I'm ok with it." Cam faced Lily with the most serious face Lily had ever seen on her. Her heart flipped and she just stared at her. She slowly disarmed herself also, questioning her actions as she did.

"Ditto." The two girls stood tall and ready for attack. They had both accepted their fates. They would do whatever they could to keep Ollie alive. They had thrown themselves into this, not her. 

"What do you think you can do. You're just puny teenagers who threw themselves into a battle zone. No strategy or plan in mind." Mr. Yates sneered at them while standing across the cave.

"You're right. We're just puny teenagers. Puny teens who have stayed alive so far. Who have faced things no one ever will. Actually, I don't think we're the puny ones here. You are. You're the one who wants to kill your own daughter because you are afraid of her. She's not going to hurt you. Not if you would talk to her. She would reason with you. Give you options. She wouldn't hurt you on purpose. It's hard for her also. She doesn't know what's happening either. She's just scared. She doesn't want an enemy at 17. No, she just wants a dad. Just like anyone else. Someone who would help her instead of going against her. Instead, she got you. She just wants help. But if you won't give that to her, we will. We have. But because of you, there's a possibility she won't get that anymore. So, please. At least consider it." Lily ended with tears in her eyes. Cam had her mouth open looking at her. Mr. Yates' sneer softened a little, but he still looked ready to kill.

"Such wise words. Too bad they'll be some of your last." 

"Oh be quiet and fight you, coward."

"Lily!" Cam was taken aback by her friends rebuttal.

"You shut up also."

"Ok." Cam quickly obliged and stood, ready to fight.

(A/N: This Is very short. Only 600 words. I literally put this off to the last minute and I'm so sorry. I promise the next chapter will be longer. Ok also watch the video at the top. It's a really good song and needs to be known more. I will also be doing questions at the end of every chapter. Whether its questions about the chapter, or just random questions, I would like some answers because that would be fun.
