Chapter 2: School Lockdown?!

Carrie POV

The bell rung and we got to our first class, Maths. We put our bags beside our tables and sit down. The teacher then starts her lesson on algebra. Time passes quickly, classes fly past and soon it's time for lunch. The teacher releases us and sips on her coffee. Everyone gets out but I see Celine's face looking very... lost. I decide not to talk to her and approach Melia. "Hey have you noticed that Celine looks kinda, you know, down?" I ask her. She grins but not in a bad way and replies, "Yup, who doesn't? She's the optimistic cinnamon roll of a friend." I sigh and say, "Things are really getting worse. The world, our friends even everything! It's as if it's all been purposely planned by an author or something!"
*Author sweats nervously*
Melia's grin turns down a little but she still keeps it. She stares into blankly at the floor and mumbles something like "Interesting..." Her works peaked my curiosity and I asked her what was up. She shrugged the topic off and walked to the canteen while saying, "Class is gonna start. We better get lunch..."

This continued whenever I when I brought up the topic. She'd shrug it off or change the topic as if I didn't even ask. I started getting impatient and more triggered. One day, I couldn't take it anymore and decided I would make it clear to her. That I want answers.

Amelia POV

So, you may know. I know about the 4th wall yada yada, blah blah blah. Well when I said that no one knows, I didn't mean everyone was oblivious. Some were actually suspicious of it. Like Carrie.

So this day during lunch, I was talking to her and she brought up the topic on The 4th Wall again. Me not wanting to reveal it, shrugged the topic off and tried to change the topic. Before I could do so Carrie death gripped my shoulder and looked at me dead in the eyes. She said, "I want to know. I'm done with you shrugging me off. Tell me what's going on." I smile widely and start to chuckle. Carrie, obviously annoyed, asked me why I was laughing. Before I could reply her, the emergency bell rang. Both of us quickly ran to our class to find half of our class there. Boy, the author sure does have something planned.
*Author sweats and breathing intensifies*

Celine POV

I start to get worried over my friends. Where were they?! The emergency bell rang for God's sake! They should be here!! What if something happened to them? Or... My thoughts were interrupted by the door slamming open and in came my friends!! They staggered over while clutching their sides, signs of stitches from running so fast. I desperately asked, "What happened? Where were you guys?! Why were you late? Are you ok? Are you hurt? Do you know what's happening? What-" I was cut off by Carrie who said that they were fine and that I worry too much, as if like a mother. "First, I don't act like a mother. Second, I don't worry too much! It's just making sure you guys are safe!" I shot back, annoyed by her remark. Carrie chuckled and Melia had her usual smile on her face. Just then, the PA system started to spout out static sounds and an announcement rang out: Students, *static* it appears that there is an attack going around throughout our small country... please stay inside the classrooms and behave. Do not make any noise as it may attract the *static* attackers to come to the school. Do not, AT ANY COST, go outside of the classroom! I repeat, only when we make another announcement then you can go outside. Unless we do so, stay inside. *static*

"Oh no oh no!!!" Celine gasped tugging at her hair, "WHAT IF THEY DO COME IN?!" "Quiet la," Melia said, covering Celine's mouth, "With your voice like that, they will definitely come la" Carrie chuckled but then remembered her topic with Melia on the 4th wall. She then excused herself and Melia and proceeded to talk to her. The boys, Yu, Yu Yan, Lee and Clover, decided to try to communicate with the girls. Since Carrie and Melia were talking privately, they had no choice but to go to the cinnamon roll.

"So, um Celine," Yu, the one with the most courage said, "What's up with your friends?" Celine shrugged her shoulder and told them that she could not get anything out of them. Then there was an awkward silence. The only sounds were the wind of the fans and the scraping of a knife from outside. Wait, A KNIFE?! Everyone, except Carrie and Melia, turned they heads towards the door, which was shaking uncontrollably, as if someone from outside was shaking it. They held their breath and an axe chopped the door down.

A face peeled in from the hole and said, "HERE'S YA BOY!!" Then everyone started screaming. Everyone except Melia that is. The door swung off the hinges and two people, or skeletons, walked in. "Yeesh man did ya have to scare them like that?" A hooded the skeleton asked. "It's fun seeing them freak out!" The one with the axe with a crack in his skull said. "Whatever, boss wants this particular bunch, let's just take em' and go."The hooded one sighed, facepalming. Melia, quite stupid I must say, walked up to the two armed skeletons and said, "Who's your boss?" Then silence formed. Melia stood there, her arms folded looking at the two skeletons. The one with the axe was about to slash her when the another figure walked in. The children, other than Melia, frightened yet curious about the situation inched closer to the now three skeletons. The third skeleton face palmed and drew out an extremely big knife about as tall as him. "Let's just knock em out," he grumbled. Then paint splotched onto everyone and everything went black.
