Rain's POV

What exactly is he doing here? And why is he with Sirius?

We have been sitting here for a couple of minutes now since the other left us alone. Can't he just go ahead?

"Aren't you going up there yet?" he asked.

"Not yet. Not until you're out of my sight." I answered. Wait isn't that a bit harsh? Ah no, he deserves it.

"You might get sick if you don't get out of the water sooner." I said calmly, he completely ignored my harsh response.

"Why do you care?" I asked and he suddenly stopped and stared at me for almost thirty seconds.

We both kept our mouth shut for a couple of minutes. The only noise is the sound of the waves. And to be honest, I am shivering.

He suddenly stood up grabbed his coat and walked towards me.

He hold my arms and stood me up.

"I don't care if you're still mad at me. I don't care if you're not ready to forgive me. All I do care is you and your well being." he said without a hint of any emotion.

He wrapped the coat to me.

"I'll just go ahead if its what's make you comfortable." he said and left.

I followed him with stares until he's a couple of meters away from me, then I began to walked following his trace.

My conscience is bugging me. Do he really deserve a treatment like this? But what about my feelings? Doesn't he know I was hurt so bad? I think we're both better off with this.

My thoughts were interrupted whenI bumped into his back.

"You're spacing out. Are you okay?" he asked. I just nod and walked inside the house first.

"Rain what took you so long?" Lucy asked.

"Nothing." I answered.

"How are you Rain?" asked Professor Dumbledore. He's with them too?

"Perfectly fine, Professor." I said and smile.

"Go change now dear. Dinner is going to be served any minute now." said Mrs. Rogers. I nod and the door opened revealing Snape.

"Severus, where have you been?" asked Professor Dumbledore.

"Just outside." he answered.

I run upstairs and entered my room. I immediately entered the bathroom and  showered. I was avoiding him for very long time now. I honestly don't know what to say or what to do. I didn't expect him to be here. I don't really think he wants to be with Sirius. He despise that man so much. Even though, I felt happy and awkward seeing him.

But I can't get off of my mind that day. I was so heartbroken. Not because he's a closed friend of mine but because I know I no longer think of him as a friend, it's already more than that. At some point, I had hopes that we can be more than that, more than friends. But I can't squeeze myself into someone who hasn't done loving his past. It will just hurt me more than anyone.

After I took shower, I wore white t-shirt and jogger pants, fixed my hair and went down. When I got down, Lucy was right upstairs to call me.

"You okay?" she asked. I nod as an answer. "You looked gloomy." she added. I ignore that and went straight to the table and sat beside Lucy's chair. They chatted happily while I ate quietly. Soon Mrs. Roger  seemed to notice my silence.
