"YOU?!" We chorus in disbelief as we finally came face to face with each other, our eyes wide and mouths hanging open in shock.

She sighs miserably as she sinks to the chair in front of me. "Out of all the people existing in this world, why you?"

What the?! She make it sound like I'm not good enough for her, when in reality its the other way around. I scoff and get up from my seat, annoyance eating me up with every second I breathe the same air with her. I really can't stand this girl.

She eyes me as if asking where I'm headed.

"I'm leaving. This date is over before it even started." I smack the first paper bills that I can pull out of my wallet down to the table.

"Listen carefully..." She cringes as she bites the corner of her light pink-tinged lips. "As much as we hate each other, we're destined."

I laugh crazily at her nonsensical remark. There's no way I'm falling for her. Not even if she's the last woman on earth.

She smiles at me in amusement as she leisurely twirls some strands of her long jet black hair around her index finger.

I don't know why but something in that smile made me think twice. I stood there, eyes fixed on her. My eyes roam all over her face as if finding an answer. Hey, she doesn't look that bad afterall. Seconds ago I was determined to leave, but now I'm not quite sure.

"Remember you were the one who asked me out for this date. The least you could do is be a gentleman and spend the whole day with me. You wouldn't want my effort in making myself this beautiful go to waste." She bats her lashes to me as she pouts.

"Well, I don't see the beauty you're talking about." I look away before she could notice my eyes feasting on her at my train of thought. "But still, I'll be a gentleman." I hastily pick up the cash on the table and walk to the counter.

"Then you're blind. Hey, wait for me, let's order together." She gets up and chases me.

Unluckily, her legs got tangled at the process I had no choice but to catch her. "How clumsy." I mutter.

"Sorry, I'm not used in wearing heels." She smiles gingerly at me.

"Then you shouldn't have wear those in the first place." I sigh in frustration.

"I just thought you would like it. I mean I have to look really beautiful or else you wouldn't ask me out on another date." She reasons out. "If only I knew then I haven't troubled myself like this. I wouldn't be even here at all."

"If a woman is really beautiful, it doesn't matter whatever she is wearing."

"Oh! You think so?" She looks at me with bedazzled eyes.

I nod. She slowly smiles at me. After five seconds I feel the urge to smile back which frustrates me even more. How the hell did I end up feeling this way?

"Wipe that stupid smile off your face and go order now before someone else think you're a retard." I stiffen the corners of my mouth to look cold.

"Oh yeah." She scans the menu. "I'll have a croissant and lemonade. How about you?" She asks cheerfully but I didn't answer. What's the point? I'm the one ordering and not her.

I lifelessly take a sip from my cup of coffee and she quietly stares at me. "What?"

"You could go now." She says almost inaudible.

"Huh?"

"You're obviously mad at me being your date. So you better go before you could hit me."

"If I like the next song, then I won't." I lie as I look outside the window. I have no plans on leaving at all. Whatever the next song will be my current LSS. Let's just not pray it won't be Britney.
