EDEN ABRELL
We were onto our seventh Barbie movie and we were singing Barbie and The Three Musketeers.
What are the chances That we'd be here today Different girls from different worlds Tryin' to find our own way Now we're the perfect team Sharing the same dream
All for one, who knew Together we know what to do Strong hearts, strong minds Fighting for what's right every time United, decided We'll never be divided All for one, one for all
As we were singing, we got up and danced, twirling ourselves and each other around. We giggled and laughed as the movie finished.
I put in the next disc and we waited for the next song we were going to sing. We were watching Barbie Fashion Fairytale.
Before the song came on, we jumped up and got ready to dance as well as sing.
"I'm home!" Mr King called but we ignored him. He'd see us when he comes in anyway.
The song started playing and we looked at each other as we sang, doing weird, stupid dance moves, as we call it.
A simple form, the perfect line, It's coming together in your mind. A satin bow, electric blue, Isn't it something? Just like a dream come true!
Her dad came into the room we were in to say hello but cut himself off when he saw that we were jumping up and down, spinning round and round, laughing with pure joy and singing like maniacs.
I mean what could he think? We were two 20-year-old girls singing and dancing to Barbie songs. If he had anything negative to say, it'd be his funeral.
Barbie is a classic.
A ruffle there, magenta here, Feels like magic in cashmere! Pop it with a pair of neon heels! That's how fearless feels!
I pull Gracie's dad in as we jump, spun and danced. He stood there in between us, looking back and forth as we sang the lyrics like artists on crack and we were proud of it.
Change the colours, change the lines, Life's whatever you design. Oh oh, oh oh oh, Oh oh, oh oh oh. Choose the fabric, own your style, Make it sweet or make it wild! Oh oh, oh oh oh, Oh oh, oh oh oh, Life, life is a, Life, life is a, Life, life is a fairytale.
Gracie and I giggled and fell onto the couch as her father, Mr King, looked at us like we had grown five heads and they were all on fire.
"Um," He said, clearly shaken and pointed to a takeaway bad that had been put down on the coffee table in front of us. "I brought Chinese."
