Katie blinked her eyes a few times as Stiles walked back over to her handing her the water bottle that he had just filled up.
Alex looked back at them, “You know of another place they would be right now?”
Katie shook her head as Stiles looked up at him, “No, we just thought they would be around here or something.”
Alex shook his head back at Stiles, “Maybe we should head back for Austin.”
Katie looked up at him, “Are you insane that were the main area that was full of them. They were created there and they are gonna be there in herds!”
Alex bit down on his lip, “I don’t know anything else to do right now. I'm sorry.”
Stiles looked back at her, “Let’s go to Austin. They could be there since Lauren was born there and Morgan and Matt had their mother there. I mean it can't be a bad idea to go back there.”
Katie shook her head, “We are gonna get ourselves killed!”
“No, we are gonna go right to the hospital then get the fuck out of there if we can't find them.” Alex smiled back at Katie.
“I don’t care, I'm hungry and I just don’t care anymore.” Katie said back to him.
Alex nodded as he went over to the car and started it up.
Katie looked back at Stiles, “I just wanna see my sister.”
Stiles smiled back at her as he kissed her on the forehead, “I know and we are gonna get you to her.”
Katie smiled back as she got into the car with Stiles behind her.
Alex slowed the car down when he saw the smoke in the air, “Heads up, we got company.”
Stiles looked out the front window at the smoke, “You wanna just keep driving or what?”
“We either draw attention to ourselves or run from it.” Alex said back to him.
Katie glanced back at Stiles, “We should run, I don’t think we need this right now. And I mean it could be them after walking into something or another group that could kill us.”
Stiles nodded his head, “We go around.”
Katie nodded her head as Alex backed the car up and drove away from the smoke.
Katie looked down the road when she saw the figure walk out into the middle of the road.
Katie narrowed her eyes then relaxed back into the seat as Alex drove off away from the smoke and whatever danger it could have been waiting for them.
Stiles sat back and went back to sleep as Alex glanced over at Katie.
Alex nudged her, “You doing ok?”
“I'm fine thanks.”
“Come on kid, Owen tied you to a bed and left you to a growler. You can't just be fine.”
