The next day, Fergus and Maggie are walking to the tavern, and are talking about what is happening at the moment with all of the smuggling business.

"Milady didn't let me go with her,"  Fergus complained to Maggie.

"There is a good reason for that, Fergus.  There was no reason for you to go with her.  Claire is a capable woman." Maggie explained.

As they walk into the tavern, they see Ian sitting at a table by himself, looking longingly at a barmaid.

"Ian, what are you doing here alone?" Maggie questioned.

"Oh nothing, Can I not have a drink?" Ian responded cheekily.

The two sat down at the table with him and the lady that Ian was staring at came over to fill the drinks of Fergus and Maggie.  As she filled the drinks, Ian and she stared at each other, and this didn't go unnoticed by Fergus and Maggie.  The two looked at each other with a knowing look, and as the lady walked away, the two turned back to Ian.

"What was that, Ian?" Fergus questioned with his eyebrows raised.

"What was what, Fergus?" Ian responded meekly.

"That look." Maggie joined.

Ian just smiled, knowing that he had been caught.  His secret crush had been found out.

"Have you talked to her?" Fergus asked.

Ian just shook his head, "Every time I go to talk to her, I just fumble my words and I just run away."He said embarrassed.

"Well then, tonight is the night you do more than look!" Fergus exclaimed.  "You need to do this; 1. Tell her she's beautiful, 2. Get her a drink and 3. Repeat 1 and 2 over and over again!" He said with a cheeky grin on his face.

Maggie looked at Fergus with a confused and shocked look on her face.  Fergus looks back at Maggie for confirmation but was surprised to see her looking at him like that.

"What?" Fergus asked alarmed.

"That is not right.  That is not how you win a woman's heart."  Maggie said, astonished that he said that.

Both Ian and Fergus looked at Maggie.

"Well then, tell us.  How do you win a woman's heart?"Ian asked.

"You start slow, compliment her," Maggie explained.

"See! I told you." Fergus exclaimed.

Maggie put her hand over Fergus' mouth to shut him up.  "And then! You look her in the eyes, and you keep complimenting her and you do nice things for her, like buying her flowers.  You make your advances known, and then you touch her cheeks and kiss her.  That is how you win a woman heart." Maggie finishes her statement and finds Fergus staring at her, longingly.  The two stare at each other for a moment more, before Maggie, turned her head to find Ian gone and talking to the barmaid, holding her cheeks and kissing her.
