Dressed in their finest, Fergus and Maggie accompanied Jamie and Claire to the party to help with the search of Ian. Upon arriving at the manor, Fergus and Maggie separated from their 'parents' and went to go see what they could find. Taking some champagne that was being passed around by a slave, Maggie immediately realised that they should find out if the slaves knew anything about the ship and supply of new slaves.
After realising the best way to get information, Maggie went on a quest and asked any slaves she could get alone to ask. Most of them had no idea of any new slaves or the slave ship, but some of them had some leads for everyone to investigate. After rejoining with her husband, Maggie and Fergus looked around for Jamie and Claire and after finding the couple, Maggie told them what she had found out.
"Some of the slaves say a group of people being forced off a ship the other night," Maggie explained.
"Ok, that's good. We should ask some more of the slaves if they know anything else." Jamie said.
Once the couples separated again, Maggie and Fergus notice that Captain Leonard had now arrived at the ball, and they rushed to tell Jamie to run and hide from him to not be arrested and hanged. Before Jamie could run away, a slave came over to talk to Claire and tells her that he knows where Ian is, at Mistress Abernathy's pink mansion, Rose Hall. The slave, Temeraire, tells Jamie and Claire that he knows of a place near Rose Hall where escaped slaves have gathered for safety. He then asks if he can join them. Claire and Jamie agree and bid him adieu.
Once they had this information, the four of them made a swift exit. But before they could get far, British soldiers ambush them and take Jamie into custody, and Captain Leonard charges him with murder and high treason. Once Jamie is taken, Claire, Maggie and Fergus look as they walk away in despair.

After the three of them had gotten over what had happened to Jamie, they realised that someone would have to go after Jamie and aid his release. Fergus quickly volunteered for this role and Claire and Maggie teamed up to save Ian. Maggie and Fergus kissed each other goodbye and Fergus promptly left to go into the town centre where the jail is. Maggie and Claire followed Temeraire to Rose Hall.
Once they get to the mansion, Temeraire separates from the two ladies to help search for Young Ian. As the two stay together in case of emergencies, they prowl the estate under the cover of darkness, whisper-yelling Ian's name. Maggie spies a dog that was sniffing around a pile of hay, and getting Claire's attention, they both investigated the scene and they find a young man's body buried beneath, but thankfully it isn't Ian's. As they both look at the body, they did not notice any footsteps behind them and they were both surprised as they were grabbed from behind from an unknown assailant.

Meanwhile , young Ian, in the middle of being interrogated by Geillis, who is certain that it is Claire, not Jamie, who is after the third sapphire. Ian denies those claims, and then Geillis gets word that Claire and Maggie had turned up. Sending men after them both, Geillis gets ready for their arrival, moving into the living room. Once they are taken inside the manor, Claire and Maggie sneakily catch a glimpse of someone they think is Ian and they then find Geillis and feign ignorance about snooping around the property, apologizing for the late hour and explaining that they got lost trying to find the house after her husband was taken into custody.
"You're welcome anytime," Geillis says, eyeing Maggie cautiously, not know who she was. "We're friends, are we not?"
"And who is this?" She asks Claire.
"This is Maggie, she is married to Jamie and I's adopted son, Fergus," Claire responded with a smile, cautious of her surroundings.
"What a beauty she is," Geillis said stroking Maggie's face as she did.
All Maggie did was smile, uncomfortable in the situation.
They then sit in the living room, with Geillis the only one drinking tea, all sharing false smiles. But Geillis can't contain herself for long. She asks Claire why, after everything she's done for her, she won't be truthfully honest with her. Claire doesn't understand, and then Geillis begins ranting about the sapphires and a prophecy, with neither Claire nor Maggie understanding her. Claire, again, is baffled and attempts to plead her innocence. Because Geillis was not talking to her, and not understanding what she was talking about, all she could do was listen as she talks to Claire. But what did catch Maggie's interest is when Geillis said,
"A 200-year-old baby," Geillis muses. "Imagine that."
Geillis then hastily stuffs a photo down her robe and has her manservant usher Claire and Maggie to a guestroom to stay as long as they need.

Meanwhile, the Scotsman and his captors are soon intercepted by John Grey's men and brought in for questioning. Where is their warrant? Their affidavit? Captain Leonard admits to Grey that he has neither and Lord John responds,
"Surely you don't mean to arrest a British subject based on the scurrilous gossip of the lower deck," Grey asks incredulously.
The Captain tries to further assert his authority over Lord John, but Grey will have none of it. "Your authority ends at the water's edge, which is precisely where my authority begins."
Knowing there wasn't anything he could do, Captain Leonard lets Jamie go, just as Fergus was approaching the jail.
"Milord, Milord!" Fergus says approaching Jamie. "Maggie and Milady have gone to Rose Hall."
Once receiving this information, Jamie runs in the direction he knew the house to be, with Fergus quickly following behind. They both get to the house and walk up to the door, make their way inside and walk up the stairs, calling for the women. Upon hearing the sound of her husband, Maggie calls out to him to lead him to her room and Claire does the same.
"Fergus!" She calls out.
"Jamie!" Claire yells as well.
Hearing this, Fergusmakes his way down the hall and tries to open the door, and upon failing, kicksthe door down. Jamie was surprised at how quickly he did this as well as his determination at getting to his wife. Seeing his wife, both men rush over and hugs their wives instantly.
"Quick, we must go and find Ian," Jamie says already leading Claire out of the room, Fergus and Maggie following close behind.
