I woke up the next day with Kai next to me scrolling through Instagram on his phone. "Morning" I said tiredly as I sat up. "Oh," he put his phone down and sat up as well,"morning. Sorry about last night, I should have just told you earlier."

"Its alright" I said calmly before getting up and getting ready for the day. I wanted out of here, away from Damiar. But Kai's too oblivious to realize Damiar's bad and he won't listen to me. Now I understand why he won't listen to me.

I decided I was gonna leave somehow. It wouldn't be that easy, so I contemplated on who to call to help but couldn't think of anyone. Normally I'd call Kai but, you know. And my dad's missing, and my mom isn't even alive...I literally have no one except Kai's dumbass.

I sighed, starting to give up, until I thought of something. I could call Caleb! He would be willing to get me out of here, no doubt about it. Plus it'd be a huge kick in the shin for Damiar, he obviously doesn't like Caleb.

I had Caleb's number in case I needed help with school work, so I texted him first telling him to call me. I headed down stairs and saw Damiar and Kai sitting on the couch.

"Hey yn, breakfast will be ready soon" Damiar said and I nodded. That's when I got the call. "Let me take this" I said before going back upstairs and answering the call.

"Hey, Caleb" I said hesitantly. I was still getting used to calling him by his first name.

"Yn! What's up? Need help with your project, or-" "No no, I need you to pick me up from somewhere. I've basically been kidnapped-" "What?! What's the address, I'm on my way" I gave him the address and he soon hung up

Everything was going well so far, the only thing was I didn't want to leave Kai with Damiar. I wanted him to come with me but he would probably never listen. Plus he might rat me out to Damiar.

I waited until Damiar and Kai were out of the living room so I could go down, but Kai ended up coming into our room.

"Sup yn" "Nothing haha, gotta use the bathroom,"I lied, "Damiar's not in there right?" "No he's in his room." I nodded and walked out, closing the door behind me. I turned on the bathroom light and closed the door without going in.

I walked down stairs and made it to the front porch right before Caleb's car pulled up. I quickly got in the passenger seat.

"Yn, are you alright?" "Mostly, haha. Thanks for coming, I really appreciate it" he nodded in response and started driving off. "What's your address so I can take you home?"

I thought for a moment. Did I really want to go home? No one was there, I'd be alone..

"Actually, can you take me to yours?" "Uhh, sure!" I smiled kindly at him and he turned on the radio so we didn't sit in silence the whole time.

"Damiar shouldn't be trusted, he's not a good kid" "Yeah I know..wait, how did you kn-" "Oh, y-you told me on the phone remember?" he said before I could finish my sentence.

That's weird. I didn't remember telling him it was Damiar but I just went with it and nodded slowly.

God I missed Kai already. But he was probably happy to get some time alone with Damiar...I mean it's clear he likes him more than he likes me..

"We're here" he said as we pulled into the drive way of his house. It was huge, much like Damiar's house.

"Woah," I said stepping out of the car,"how do you afford this?" I laughed. "Teaching isn't my only job yn" he laughed quietly as he unlocked the door and led me inside.

"Why didn't you wanna go home?" He asked as he went into the kitchen. I sat on the couch in the living room near the bar.

"Well no one's home. My dad's, well, let's say he's working." I didn't wanna tell him too much cause I don't want him to worry or something. He nodded as he brought us each a soda and sat down next to me.
