SO LETS SET THE WORLD ON FIiIirReEE DODODO DO DO DOooOoOooOo this has absolutely nothing to do with the story I just like the song -tOh

I instinctively tried to push Damiars arm away but he just pushed down on the knife harder. "This is my point, you can't protect yourself." He told me, sitting up on my thighs and letting me push his arm away but he didn't move yet.

"Get off." I complained, trying to squirm away. "You're so weak." He commented, standing up. "Shut up, it's not like I was taught how to escape a kidnapper as a kid, if I was I would've left a long time ago." I muttered annoyed as I stood up, rubbing my neck where the knife had been.

"Even if you were you wouldn't escape from me or Caleb." He continued walking wherever he'd been going before and I followed.

"So what? Maybe he'd actually be nice to me." Damiar turned and yanked me over to him but the collar of my shirt.

"They want to do bad things to you yn. Don't even think for a second he'd be nice to you. " He said, so close to my face I could feel his breath against my skin.

---hi its tylor im wroiting now---

I stood flustered and wide eyed until he finally let go, pushing me back slightly. I huffed and crossed my arms over my chest. "What kind of bad things?"

"What do you think?"

I looked down. I guess, everything?

"Anyway," he started, breaking the silence, "Follow me."

"Where?"

"Just follow me." He scoffed.

"No, tell me where we're going first."

He sighed, annoyed, "I'm going to teach you self defense like I told you before."

"I told you I don't want to!"

"Why?"

"Because... B-Because I can't stand to be around you!"

He scoffed again with a smirk, "Keep lying to yourself."

"Shut up! I don't! I-I'm not- I don't like you."

"Oh right...you like Kai."

I was about to protest when a tired voice came from the bottom of the stairs. "Huh?"

Kai. I looked at him embarrassed.

"I...he's just being s-stupid."

Kai smiled a little and ran a hand through his hair, fixing it even though it was still a fluffy, tangly mess of purple and black.

"Y/n? Come on." Damiar said quietly in an annoyed tone.

"I said I'm not going." I stated as I turned to him.

"Come. On. You too, Kai." Damiar grabbed onto my arm and shot a glare at Kai.

"What? What are we doing?"

"I'm teaching you guys self defense in case anything happens to you. You two will also have to carry weapons with you for extra protection."

"This is crazy." Kai muttered as he followed behind Damiar who was dragging me out of the back door.

The backyard was huge and blanketed in thick, bright green grass. There were a few short trees and random rusty poles stuck in the ground for some reason. Surrounding the whole thing was a tall wooden fence, and right behind it was a wire gate with barb wire at the top of it.

I yanked my arm away from Damiar once we stepped foot on the patio. Kai walked up next to me and pointed to the line of three big targets near the right side of the yard. "What's that?"

"Targets, duh. Here." I felt Damiar's hand on mine as he pulled it towards him and when I looked over, he placed a small hand gun in my palm. I gripped the cold metal and looked up at Damiar.

"W-What am I supposed to do with this?"

"Shoot the target, idiot."

"Huh?! I dunno how to shoot a gun. Besides, what if someone hears it?"

"Well I'm gonna teach you. And we're in the middle of no where, who's gonna hear?" He shook his head with a 'tsk' and reached out for my waist. I jerked away.

"Calm down, sheesh." He stood behind me and grabbed onto my hands from behind, guiding them upwards.

"You just..." He trailed off and pulled the trigger. I shut my eyes as the gun went off. He pulled away afterwards.

"I'm not shooting anyone." I threw the gun on the ground and just stared at it for a moment.

Damiar groaned. "Kai?"

I saw Kai shake his head.

"It's fine. If anything happens in the heat of the moment, if it comes to it, you'll get the hang of it." I simply nodded until a folded pocket knife was shoved in my hand.

"And what am I supposed to do with this?" I rolled my eyes.

"Throw it at the target. Like this." Damiar swung his own knife forward and unfolded it. Then he retracted his arm so that his hand was beside his head, pointing the tip of the knife to the back of him, and threw it. It flew the air until it hit the target almost perfectly at the center.

I looked at the punctured target in awe. Wow, he really did that. A grin spread across my face and I began to mimick Damiar's actions, throwing the knife forward. It did hit the target, but it was no where near the center. I guess it just takes a little practice.

Maybe if I learn to fight good enough, I can use it against Damiar and get the hell away from him. Maybe I could get out of town or something, I don't know. But what about Kai-

"That was good for your first try. You have to try now, Kai." Damiar said.

The "training" went on for a little while until the sun started setting. Damiar taught us some self defense moves for fights, how to trick an opponent, and of course, how to use a pocket knife and a dagger.

Also, we missed lunch and dinner.
