After Amber's head rose from Adam's lap, she whispered, "Oh my goodness. Look at all the blue."
"It's a 1st generation zombie's horde," reported Adam.
"It's bigger and scarier then I thought. Some are moving fast," articulated Amber.
"That's what got my men and me," said Adam.
"The numbers game," remarked Amber.
As the vehicles sit idling, the group joined Amber and Adam at the front of them. They stared awestruck. When Amber looked over at her youngest son, she giggled at his and a few of the other's expressions.
"If you all don't close your mouths, you'll catch a fly," commented Amber with a grin.
"Maybe I want to catch one," retorted Davis.
"Hmmm. Fresh meat," responded Amber.
"There you go, mommy," said Davis.
"I know one thing, we're backtracking. We won't go closer," declared Amber.
"You're right," stated Adam.
"Let's head out. The drivers go first. We'll watch your back," ordered Amber.
The drivers were the first back inside the vehicles. At the same time, the passengers watched for signs of zombies heading for the caravan. As the last of the people marched for the automobiles, Amber halted. She scanned their surroundings and seen a few blue flashes.
"Beware. We have company," reported Amber.
"How did they surround us that fast without warning?" asked Alexandria.
"You didn't know they were here, Adam?" questioned Amber.
"Too many smells around. I'm no longer a whole zombie," answered Adam.
"Is there a 1st generation with them?" asked Amber.
"I don't know. Too many smells," replied Adam.
"Well, alright. Let's get this over. Silent weapons only," commanded Amber.
"As you say," responded the killing party while they prepared their weapons.
"They're coming from all sides," conveyed Amber.
"Split up. Davis, Derrick, and Ray come with me," ordered Joseph.
"Ray. Have Jack tell the group not to use guns," demanded Amber.
"Alright," commented Ray.
As soon as Ray came back, they heard a high-pitched squeal. Amber turned in slow motion and looked toward the racket. Immediately an eyebrow arched as Jack squealed and ran around a truck with two zombies on his heels.
"All that it needs is the funny music," snickered Amber.
"Also, the high-speed running. Like the British shows do," said Davis.
After Jack came around the truck on Amber's side, she saw the third zombie. The zombie as he football tackled Jack. He was knocked hard against the pavement. As Jack's body slammed against the blacktop, the helmet hit. The helmet flew off his head and exposed flesh to the zombies.
"Stop! Help me!" yelled Jack.
"Get off him! Davis, Help!" exclaimed Amber.
A high-pitched squeal escaped Jack's mouth. The third zombie clamped his teeth into Jack's cheek. A second zombie bit his leather-covered thigh. The zombie on Jack's cheek had a small chunk of meat from Jack. Some of the skin held as the zombie rose, and the flesh stretched.
