"I count around thirty," reported Amber.

"Same. I'll get out. You move over," ordered Adam.

"I don't like this," conveyed Amber.

"I know you want to fight. You're not healed enough," declared Adam.

"I know. Go kick some zombie ass," said Amber.

"A kiss for inspiration," requested Adam.

"I think I can help you with that, or I could get Shirley to help out," whispered Amber with a grin.

"That isn't right," stated Adam.

Immediately Amber's hand caressed Adam's cheek as her lips peppered him.

A knock came on the window, then Davis said, "Come on, Romeo. Let's hack and slash."

"Pommel some zombies for me," specified Amber.

"I'll do that," revealed Adam with a wink as he departed the vehicle.

Amber watched as the death squad hurried toward the horde. When the zombies turned, the group's stride accelerated. The fight commenced with Adam's hand connecting against the first zombie's lower chest as Amber gawked. As the momentum of the zombie and Adam propelled his hand. The fingers broke the flesh and continued. Soon Adam held the zombie's heart in his hand. He dropped it on the ground as he walked past the zombie. Some of the group slashed their way through the zombies as the fight continued. Davis and Zachary were knocked down on the concrete by several zombies. Straightaway, Adam rescued Davis while Aidan saved Zachary.

"My hero," uttered Davis like a schoolgirl and held his hands against his helmet.

"Fool. Get on your feet and fight," demanded Adam with a grin.

"I might be a fool, but I made you laugh," retorted Davis.

Immediately Adam pointed past Davis. He turned where Adam was directing. A zombie ran full force for them. When the zombie was closing in, Davis jumped backward. With his ax jumped up and connected under the zombie's chin. The zombie's momentum helped amputate her chin as she fell on the concrete. Promptly Davis came down across her throat with the ax.

After the small horde was a dismembered parts and black blood kill scene. They drove off toward Travis' house. The caravan pulled up in front of a turn of the century house. Cautiously they looked around at their surroundings.

Amber texted, 'Get to the door we're here.'

Soon a head appeared in the door's window. It opened as an average looking man waved to them. Everyone in the caravan walked with wariness for the inviting entrance.

After the door closed behind the group, Amber gave the man a big hug.

"Love you, sis," said Travis.

"I love you, too," commented Amber.

Their hug finally finished. Travis limped into the living room where his group waited. As soon as Amber saw her friends, she hugged them and smiled.

"I'm glad to see so many familiar faces," remarked Amber.

"Did you have trouble?" asked Travis.

"Nothing we couldn't handle. My group made me stay in the SUV due to trouble along the way," answered Amber.

"Trouble. Within or outside the group?" questioned Travis.

"I'll tell you in private later," responded Amber.

"Alright," related Travis.

Travis and Amber watched as the parties mingled with each other as if the apocalypse wasn't an issue.
