Tanjirou's POV
" What do you think, Tanjirou" Inosuke asked
" Yeah sure. It's such a shame Zenitsu can't join us" I said
" Well, whatcha waitin' for? Let's go kill some demons!" He said enthusiastically
So we jumped from building to building until we found a demon. "Monjiro, I can handle this, you go and find your own demon to kill. Hahaha"
"Okay"
So I continued my 'journey', as I like to call it, of finding demons. Unexpectedly I found one by the roadside threatening a woman, "Who- what a-are y-you" she said "Oho~ you won't need to know because I'll eat you anyways" The demon said. I then unsheathed my sword and put my hood on so she wouldn't recognize me if we ever see each other on the streets. I jumped down from the building and told the woman "Please run" she hesitated for a moment then ran.
"You.... WHAT DID YOU DO NOW I HAVE NO MORE FOOD!!!!" He shouted angrily at me.
"Humans aren't food" I calmly said
"Heh" He chuckled "I'll just eat you after I kill you" He smirked "Raaaaahhhhh" He shouted hurrying to attack me.
'Water Breathing First Form: Water Surface Slash' I said in my thoughts as I slashed it's head off.
The demon's body disintegrated after that.
"Hey Kentaro" A voice behind me said
"Oh hey Inosuke" I greeted him
"Monitsu just texted me, he said your sister's worried about you."
"Can you tell him to tell Nezuko I'll be home soon? Thanks" I said while running back to our home.
At home
"Nezuko, I'm home!" I said
"Oh perfect, nii-chan, I just made dinner"
"Thanks Nezuko"
The next day in school
I saw Kanao talking to the guys yesterday. I sharpened my sense of hearing so I could hear what they're talking about. "You better meet us there alone or else I'll make you and your boyfriend's life a living hell" The guy said. I clenched my fist in anger, but I calmed myself down as to not be discovered. "O-o-okay I-I-I w-will" Kanao said "Make sure you do" the other guy said.
Timeskip to after school
"Kanao, should I walk you home today?" I asked remembering their conversation earlier. "O-oh no need" She said. 'Just as I thought. I'll just follow her to make sure she doesn't get hurt'
3rd Person POV
At the meeting place
"So, what did you want to talk about" Kanao asked the two guys
"Break up with him or we will kill him" One of them said
"N-no! I don't want"
"Then we'll just kill him" The other one said with a nasty smile on his face.
"N-no please don't" She pleaded
"Oh what a nice melodrama" Said a voice from the shadow
Kanao unsheathed her sword. "Hide behind me." She told the two guys. "Why should we?" One said
"Just please, so I can protect you"
"What can a little girl like you do to protect us?"
"A demon slayer, I see" The demon said
