AKUMA (n.) - A mystic race of gods occupying the same time-space as the human race. Believed to have been brought into existence by Anthropomorphized. Natural Law to enforce the rules of nature. They follow a tenet that considers natural law as an absolute, as opposed to Homo Sapiens, who are seen by Akumas as ignorers and possible destroyers of natural law. Being physically and mentally superior to humans, they are often a odds with the human race. While the human race seems to feel the need to follow their perceived commandments from their god, Akumas only see the protection of nature from the humans as a holy cause.
MAKAI (n.) - A futuristic (hyper-evolved) dimension where Akumas are born.
JIGOKU (n.) - A part of Makai. A realm reserved for humans who are brought here and punished fordisobeying the rules of Makai. A place of terror and suffering forhumans. A place of merrymaking and joviality for Akumas.
ONI (n.) - 1) A creature similar to a demon. A being responsible for directly andpersonally carrying out the punishments due to any deserving human. 2) The feral brain. The reptilian based survival instinct representedby the overwhelming need to prevail (i.e. "fight or flight"). Alsoapplicable to obsessions of revenge. Also applicable to describeteachers, coaches, directors, etc., who abuse their power over theirsubjects as a result of a neurotic need to excel. 3) A common adjective used to describe the obsessions of industrious overachievers and workaholics.
MAOH (n.) - The emperor of Makai.
MAJIN (n.) - A term used to describe the ambiguous god of Makai. As with most perceived supreme beings, Majin is respected and feared while at the same time, its existence is a matter of interpretation and perception. Also known as the anthropomorphization of natural law.
