Chapter Seven

~Jessie~

Dante slipped through the crowded club with ease, he seemed to lighten up and relax the second he was sounded by the huddled, sweaty bodies. Often he would stop and talk to different people, girls in tight cloths that revealed way too much. Continuously flirting and throwing themselves at him. The only response they got from him was a polite smile, and then he would turn away, only to be cornered by another one.

"Want a drink?" Fringe asks his arm around my shoulder. Pulling my gaze away from Dante, and the brightly lit club, I look up at Fringe as a smile tugging at my lips, "You bet."

Smiling down at me, he steers us through the crowd of people, to something I hadn't noticed the first time I was here since it was so dark. It was a long, glass top, steel framed bar that stretched across the whole length of the left wall, with shiny steel shelves, lit up with florescent lights, holding all different, kinds and brands of alcohol, ranging from the cheap, to the not so cheap, from the foul, to the begging for more.

We sat in tall stools, padded with black leather, with no back to rest against. A lady in her early 20's, came up to us from behind the bar, with a bright, friendly smile. She had died, long black hair, and was covered in tattoos. She also had a nose ring and a lip piercing on the left side of her lower lip.

Tall and skinny, with pale skin, and eyes surrounded by black make up. She looked like a real rocker chick, and fit the club perfectly. Opening my mouth, I was ready to order my drink, when she spook, "Hey Hun, where's Dante?"

My mouth snapped shut, and I looked at the lady with annoyance, I swear the only thing on every one’s mind in this place is 'Dante'. Gritting my teeth I listened to Fringe and the lady, who I found out, name was Abby. "He's around here somewhere, probably surrounded by groping girls," Fringe said with a smirk.

A frown formed between her brows, her light jade eyes hard in thought, "Yes but have you noticed the change in him, it's like suddenly his aged 5 years."

Fringe chuckled, "Yeah, the other night Rose and Allie came down to the club whining about how Dante wasn't in the mood for some fun", he said while make exclamation marks with his fingers as he said 'fun'.

This made Abby laugh, "Oh I just bet Rose hated that, the bitch gets on my nerves so bad, she expects me to treat her like royalty."

Rolling his eyes Fringe said "Oh, she expects everyone to treat her like royalty; she even tried telling Dante what to do."

Abby's brows rose, almost to her hair line at these words, "Are you for real, damn you'd think she knew that Dante hates being told what to do, even Luke’s careful with the orders he gives Dante."

As I listened to them ramble on, my gaze ran over the rest of the club. At the very front was a large stage, where the band had played. It was brightly lit, and a small town band was performing. In front of that was a dance floor where people were dancing to the music, and grinding up against each other. Then my gaze moved to the right back corner where there were long, black leather lounge chairs, which people were sitting and chatting away upon. Some though were using them to feel each other up and suck face. I had one thing to say to them 'Get a room'.

Then my gaze landed on Dante, he was sitting in the far back lounge, with a chick with long, brown hair that fell down her back in ringlets. She was on her knees and was running her knuckles over Dante's left cheek. Even for this far away I could see how tense his body was, but what I couldn't see was if he was tense because he was turned on, or if he was uncomfortable. My eyes narrowed as he gave a cold stare to someone standing in front of him. Well more like some ones, four tall men, with their backs to me, were deep in conversation with him.
