Bellamy watched as boar was in front of him, clearly unaware of the humans around her. "She's mine," he whispered to the others as he slowly inched forward. He raised his axe and was about to throw it when he heard a stick crack behind him. He whipped around and threw the axe without hesitation, striking a tree. Next to the tree, a girl was staring at the axe with a scared expression. The boar ran off and most of the kids ran off to chase it while Bellamy and Atom walked up to the girl. "Who the hell are you?" Bellamy asked once he was close to her.

"Charlotte," she said and Bellamy remembered Alia talking about her.

"I almost killed you," Bellamy continued as he pulled his axe out of the tree. Then Alia would have killed me, he thought. "Why aren't you back at camp?"

"Well, what with that guy who was dying I just... I couldn't listen anymore."

"There's Grounders out here," Atom said. "It's too dangerous for a little girl."

"I'm not little," Charlotte said defensively.

Bellamy smiled. He could tell that she had spirit. He saw why Alia was attracted to her and he felt an attraction too. "Ok then," he said. "But you can't hunt without a weapon," he said as he pulled out his knife from his pocket and handed it over to Charlotte. "Ever killed something before?" Charlotte shook her head. "Who knows? Maybe you're good at it," he smiled. She gave a small smile and followed him and Atom towards where the others had gone.

Alia could hear people rushing past her tent and she poked her head out to see what was wrong when she saw a cloud of yellow coming towards them. She had never heard or read about anything like it, but she didn't want to take any chances. Some of it reached her skin, burning like an acid and making her cough. "Everyone inside the dropship! Now!" she ordered. They rushed inside and once they were sure that everyone that was still in camp was inside, they closed the doors and kids went to make sure that all the hatches were sealed. Some of the air still made it inside and those that were near the door and the last inside started coughing.

"What's going on?" Monty asked as he came down to the first level.

"The air got thick and everybody's skin started burning," one girl explained.

"It was like a fog made up of acid," Alia said coming over to Monty and Octavia.

"Monty, my brother's out there," Octavia said worriedly.

"Some other kids are with him and Clarke, Finn, and Wells went out to find some seaweed," Alia added.

"He'll be fine," Monty assured them. "We'll all be fine."

"We need to move everyone back down to the first level and away from Jasper," Alia realized. "Some kids definitely don't like him right now." Monty nodded as they made their way up to the other levels. "Everyone, please go back down to the first level," she said loudly. They just looked at her and didn't move.

"Listen to her. That's what Bellamy said. She's in charge," Murphy said and everyone started going back to the first level.

"Thanks," Alia said as she made her way over to him.

"Bellamy put you in charge. He wouldn't react fondly if he found out that no one listened to you. I don't want to be the one he takes his wrath out on," Murphy said as if what he did didn't matter.

"John, you haven't talked to me since we landed. Please," Alia pleaded him to say something.

"I'm going downstairs," was his response as he made his way down the ladder.
