"So, I'm pardoned. Just like everyone else here," Bellamy said, coming over to her.

"That's good. I'm happy for you."

"I saw you staring when we got back with the guns and then when I came out of the tent." She put her head down. "Alia, I tried to leave today. I took rations and supplies and I planned to leave once I helped Clarke."

"Why'd you come back?"

"I wanted to leave because I thought I was a monster. I thought my mother would be disappointed in who I've become. I came back to do better. I want to be a person my mom is proud of."

"She may not be happy with all the things you did, but she wouldn't think you're a monster. And I know she's proud of you," Alia assured him, tempted to take his hand in hers, but didn't.

He sighed, looking down. "The last time I saw her, she told me that even when it seemed like I couldn't, you would be the one who would keep me going. She said that because you loved me, I would always push myself. And I thought I was doing it right. I thought that I was doing all those things because you were keeping me going and I needed to protect you, but deep down, I knew I was wrong. I knew I was protecting myself from how I would feel without the two of you. And I was scared of what could happen to you if I wasn't here to take care of you." She looked down as he took her hand gently in his. "I talked to Octavia. She would barely say anything back and I don't expect you to either."

"I've already talked to you," she said with a small smile.

He let out a breathy laugh. "That you have." He paused. "Alia, I wanted to... No, I need to tell you the whole story."

"What story? I don't..."

"Please, just... Just let me tell you." She nodded and remained quiet. "Commander Shumway gave me the gun and told me to shoot Jaha and in return he would get me onto the dropship. I know I was selfish and it was wrong, but I don't regret coming with you. I regret shooting Jaha, but not making sure you're safe. You don't have to say it back, but I need you to know that I love you. I understand if you don't want me anymore, but..."

"Bellamy, stop." He stopped rambling and looked in her eyes. "I love you too. And I'm so sorry for what I did to you..."

"Hey, can we both just say we're sorry and move on?" She let out a small laugh and nodded, making him smile. "So, be my girlfriend again? And this time I promise to be a better boyfriend."

"Okay," she whispered, leaning up and wrapping her hands around his neck as his came to rest on her hips as they pushed their lips together, the world suddenly seeming right again. "But guns?" she asked, pulling away. "We're in a camp of criminals. You think that's a good idea?"

He sighed. "Can we fight later and kiss now?"

She rolled her eyes playfully. "Fine."

"Oh, come on. You know you like it."

"Maybe," she smirked as his lips connected with hers again.

Bellamy sat on the bench, his mother and Alia on either side of him, both of their hands in his. Alia's hand moved nervously in Bellamy's, her fingers running over his, whereas Aurora's grip was strong and steady. Just like his hands feeling the two, Bellamy's mind couldn't decide which way it wanted to feel. He looked between his mother and his girlfriend, both staring at the wall in front of them.

"It'll be okay," Bellamy finally spoke up, leaning into Alia's ear. She looked over at him and he could see the worried expression on her face. "It'll be okay," he repeated, but he wasn't sure if it was for her or himself. Before he could say anything else, the door opened and Shumway walked in, followed by Kane. Alia's grip on Bellamy's hand tightened while Aurora's left his and sat in her lap.

"Aurora Blake," Shumway started, "for the crime of having a second child, you are to be floated tomorrow." Bellamy looked over to his mother, his breath starting to quicken. He knew this was going to happen, but the reality sunk in. He started to stand, about to yell and fight back, but Aurora caught his eye and shook her head. He took a breath and sat back down. "Bellamy Blake," Shumway continued, Alia giving his hand a squeeze, "you will be stripped of your position as a Guard Cadet, be moved to the working class, and remain a janitor. There will be no chance for you to move up or change jobs unless the Chancellor reassigns you." Bellamy was stunned and his eyes were wide, staring at Shumway. Aurora matched her son's face while Alia let out a small sigh of relief, her eyes meeting with Kane's. She gave a small nod and he returned it, no one registering their exchange. "Say your goodbyes," Shumway told them after giving Aurora instructions about the floating. The door closed with a loud sound, Kane, Shumway, and Alia leaving after she hugged Aurora, allowing the Blakes a few minutes of privacy

"You're going to live," Aurora said, turning to look at Bellamy.

"You're going to be okay," she smiled, but Bellamy just sat there.

"But you're not," he finally said.

Aurora let out a sigh. "I know. But I knew what I was risking when I had Octavia. I have no regrets about that," she said strongly. "But you, you didn't have a choice. This wasn't something you did. I had Octavia and you were the best big brother to her," she smiled.

"But I'm the reason she got arrested and you're being floated," Bellamy said, tears forming in his eyes.

Aurora moved her hands to the sides of Bellamy's face. "You took her to a dance. You let her live her dream. You took her on the Ark, showed her Earth. You let her live outside of the only room she had ever been in. She really lived. Even if it was only for a little while."

"But..." Bellamy started.

"No. Bellamy, you can't put yourself down for this forever. Alia will remind you of that. She'll be the one who keeps you going, Bellamy. That's how your father was for me before I had you and Octavia. You find someone you love, then they keep you going and you keep them going, even without knowing it. You two will be there for each other."

"Thank you," Alia whispered to Kane as they waited outside, Shumway standing a few feet away.

"You were right," he told her simply.

So, Alia and Bellamy are back together. That didn't take very long. We also got a flashback and a little bit of a teaser about Alia and Kane. I wonder what their connection is and what Alia was right about? Keep reading to find out! I hope you enjoyed this chapter! Stay safe! (Sorry for the late post, life got crazy, but I will try to get back on track.)
