***Hanging Scene
"Isn't that what you said?" Murphy asked Bellamy. "That you were just giving the people what they wanted, right?"
"I should have stopped them."
"Yeah, it's a little late for that now," he said, pushing the tears away from his eyes.
"You think they're just gonna let you walk out of here?"
"Well, I think the princess is dead," he said of Clarke, "but I know the king's about to die, and the queen loves me, so... Besides, who're really gonna lead these people, huh? Alia won't want to do it, at least not by herself, so me. That's who. And yeah, maybe I'll have to kill your Grounder pounding little sister-" Bellamy tried to kick Murphy, but the rope around his neck prevented him from going anywhere. Murphy ran over to pull the rope, causing him to have to stand on the tip of his toes to be able to breathe. He stopped pulling when he heard a scream from under the floor. "I'm guessing that's her right now." He picked up the gun and shot through the vent in the floor.
"No! No!" Bellamy yelled. "Alia's down there too! Stop!" Murphy froze and Bellamy took the chance to try to escape, but Murphy caught him and kicked out the stool from beneath him, causing him to choke as he hung there.
"Using your hands is a cheat," Murphy told him as Bellamy pried at the rope around his neck. "Mine were bound, remember?" he asked as he tried to pull them away, but Bellamy punched him, knocking him to the ground before he got back up, hitting Bellamy in the stomach with the end of the gun. He stopped as the door creaked open.
"Raven, you did it!" Jasper yelled to her as they waited for the door to open enough to get inside as Murphy rushed up the hatches. They went in slowly with their guns ready before they saw Bellamy's limp body hanging, letting their guns fall as they rushed over to him. Jasper grabbed his legs and lifted him up.
"Bell, hold on!" Octavia yelled.
"Cut the seat belts!" Alia panicked as Octavia pulled them apart, allowing Jasper to quickly lower Bellamy to the floor.
"Bell, breathe!" Octavia yelled as she and Alia pulled the seat belt from around his neck.
"Come on, breathe!" Alia cried.
"Breathe. Can you breathe?" Jasper asked before he took in a raspy breathe.
"Good. You're okay," Octavia told him.
"There you go. Just like that." Alia held his head as he took in more shaky breaths.
"Raven, he's fine!" Jasper yelled to her.
"Oh my God," Alia cried, kissing his forehead. "You're okay. Just keep breathing."
"Murphy!" Bellamy yelled, getting up shakily. He panted as he went to the ladder. "Murphy, it's over!" He grunted as he tried to go up, pushing on the blocked hatch. "Murphy! There's only one way out of this for you now!" They heard a loud explosion and they all ducked before Bellamy broke through the hatch. "Murphy!" he yelled as he climbed up, Alia following him. They looked through the smoke to see a hole blown in the side of the dropship.
"Guy knows how to make an exit," Jasper mumbled as they all looked out of it, seeing Murphy running away. "Should we go after him?"
"No." Murphy glanced back at them, his eyes meeting with Alia's. She saw the relief and regret in his eyes before it disappeared and he turned and continued running. "Grounders will take care of Murphy. We're going after Clarke, Finn, and Monty," Bellamy stood and looked at Jasper. "You and Raven were right. We don't abandon our own. Two guns. You and me. That's it. Raven stays here to build up defenses with Alia," he walked back to the ladder. "We lost a day because of this and all our gunpowder. Raven!" he called down.
