"Destiny, destiny" he softly shook her awake. "What?" she grumbled, rolling over. "You coming or not?" he asks, standing at the window. "Wait what?" she sat up and rubbed her eyes. When she saw him climb out the window a grin grew on her face. "Coming princess?" he smirks from outside. "Obviously" she ignored the nickname and climbed out after him. Unknowing of the boxes outside, she stumbled, but Greyson was there to catch her. He steadied her as she glared at the boxes beside her. "Smooth" he mutters. "Shut up you" she mumbles "How was I meant to know they were there?" Greyson just laughs at her facial expressions. "Thought you auradon kids had x-ray vision or something" He teases. "What a let down"
Greyson led her down the streets. She looked at every little thing, noticing how different it was to where she grew up. Destiny grew up in the woods, a beautiful forest, surrounded by a community who she grew to see as family. Here, they didn't seem to have family. It was everyone person for themselves. Yet here Greyson gothel was, probably disobeying orders, to let her explore. She had grew up to believe people from the isle were heartless, they didn't care about anyone except themselves. He was showing her that her views were wrong.
"Are you not scared that someone is going to see us?" She asked. Greyson just shook his head. "It's the middle of the night, no body goes out at night" he shrugs. "Too scared?" she teases. "People on the isle aren't scared, just smart" he replies. "So we aren't smart?" she asks. "Nope, we are geniuses" he smirks, pulling her down a dark alleyway. "If this is some elaborate plan to kill me, you know I wont go down without a fight" destiny glares, though she couldn't see anything in the darkness. "You really think i'd do that?" Greyson asks, holding onto her hand to guide her. "I know you now, and I know you're still a villain" she shrugs. "I'm a villain on the outside, but do you know what I am on this inside?" he asks, walking into where he wanted to bring her. It was a manmade garden. Flowers made of scraps of metal, with lights as their centre. Lanterns floating from the beams above them with names written onto them. Benches made from materials they must have found all around the isle. It was beautiful. Destiny gasped when she saw it, smiling. "Beautiful" she gasped, not realising she was technically answering Greyson question. "That wasn't what I was going for but thanks" he smirked. "You know that isn't what I meant" She rolls her eyes, admiring everything.
"Who created this?" she asked, running her fingers over the flowers. "I did, not alone of course, but I wanted the kids to have somewhere nice to go" he shrugs, looking down slightly. Destiny smiled, walking up to him. "Who knew you were so soft gothel" she smirks, her hand intertwining with his. "I believe that with the right person, going soft isn't a bad thing" he smiles, swinging their hands back and forth. Destiny nods, smiling brighter than she thought she could.
"You know, you could be so much more than just a villain" Destiny states as they walk."What do you mean?" Greyson asks. "You don't have to just accept your life as it is, you could be so much more" she says. "It's hard when you're confined to an island" Greyson sighs. "Then come to auradon with me" she grins. "As if they'd let me in" he laughs. "No I'm serious, I can easily persuade ben, the Greyson I grew to know tonight would fit right in, except maybe with Riley but shes Riley" Destiny rambles. "I couldn't, I can't just leave my family here" he looks down. His family may not be the most functional or normal, but they loved eachother regardless. "Yeah" She sighs sadly. "Riley is Rapunzels daughter?" he asks. "Yeah, how'd you know?" Destiny says, clearly sarcastic. "Wild guess"
Greyson then takes her to the beach, the only naturally beautiful place in the isle. "This reminds me of home" she smiles, kicking the sand beneath her feet. "Beautiful, peaceful and calming?" Greyson asks. "Yeah....how'd you know?" she narrows her eyes at him. "It's how I feel about here" he shrugs, sitting down. Destiny nods and spins around on the sand, a grin on her face. Greyson smiled at her, he noticed every feature she had. How her eyes lit up whenever she was happy. Her smile had different ranges, depending on the true happiness she was feeling. Her giggle was like music, soft and sweet. How she rolled her eyes but laughed whenever he teased her. He found himself staring. Destiny didn't notice, she was too busy admiring the water .
"Come on!" she giggles, walking towards the water. "What?" he asks, knowing how cold the water was. Destiny reaches down to splash the water but realises the temperature and retracts her hand. "Wow your water is cold" she frowns. "I know" Greyson shrugs, he was never one for water. "I didn't realise how rough you have it here" she sighs. "It's bad but we survive" He shrugs. "But you deserve more" she starts, walking back to the soft sand. "Promise me that one day you'll get off this isle and reach your full potential" She looks him dead in the eyes. "Promise"
Greyson sat down, looking up and the sky. From the beach there was a perfect view of the stars. "What are you doing?" destiny asks, sitting next to him. "Looking at the stars" he says, though he was now looking at the beautiful girl beside him. "this morning I never would have thought that i'd be sat here with you now" She smiles. "Who'd of thought that an isle boy and an auradon girl could have such a good time" Greyson smiles. Without thinking, they both began to lean in. Their lips were only inches apart when they heard footsteps. "Come on" Greyson stood up, helping destiny up quickly. They hid in an alleyway, until the person passed. "Way to ruin a moment" Greyson muttered, unsure if destiny heard him. But still, what he said earlier was true. They were an unlikely pair, but it was destiny, they just didn't know it yet.
