chapter 12-,

hyunjin's pov~

after all my classes were over, i went to the nurses office to check up on heejin. the nurse let me see her since they saw me bring her earlier, but when i went in she was sleeping.

i smiled to myself and sat in the chair across the room. she looked so peaceful and calm, i couldn't wake her up. so instead i pulled out my phone and went on insta.

still waiting for her to wake up, i started to get bored. i tried everything to stay awake but boredom was causing me to get tired. i walked over to heejin and tapped on her, causing her to finally wake up. when she saw me she smiled and let out a simple greeting, but since she had just awoken, her voice was so soft and calming, and i swear i felt like my heart was going crazy.

she grabbed the white blanket from the end of the bed and pulled it over herself. "i was waiting for you to wake up," she laid her head back on the pillow and kept her body covered with the blanket. "but you were sleeping so much and i started to get tired so i thought i would wake you up."

she nodded and closed her eyes, putting her in a state where she was half awake and half asleep. "it's fine, hyunjin, you can just go to your room, im okay here." i blinked cause...she really doesn't know. "heejin the nurse wont let you sleep here overnight."

she opened her eyes, looked around, then sat up. "shoot, i really don't wanna go to my room, im scared nara might do something to me again." i thought of something and lowered my voice. "you can stay with me in my room if you want." her head shot to me with a very surprised look.

"but that isn't allowed is it?" "no, but no one has to find out." "what about your roommate?" "it's seungmin, he'll be fine with it." she slowly nodded and took some time to think about it. she looked out the window and saw how dark it had gotten. "i guess, only for this night though."

she began to get off the bed and put her shoes on, then grabbed the rest of her things and headed out the office. while walking out, the back of our hands had brushed against each other's but a few seconds after she held my hand and intertwined our fingers, making me shocked cause i honestly thought it was just that one time she was gonna hold my hand. i couldn't handle myself and i held it back tight.

we walked to my dorm the whole way like that. when we got there i unlocked the door and pulled her inside. seungmin was already asleep in his bed so i told her to stay quiet, she nodded. i got my bed ready for her to sleep in but she awkwardly stood still. i pointed to the bed and indicated for her to go ahead and get comfortable but she continued standing there.

"where are you gonna sleep?" shit shes right. i looked around trying to find a spot and shrugged. "the floor." i grabbed a blanket that seungmin and i keep in the closet and grabbed seungmin's other pillow that just stays on his bed since he never actually sleeps with it. when i turned back i saw she was already in the bed, eyes closed and fast asleep. i laid on the floor and surprisingly i ended up falling asleep pretty quick.
