Chapter 14: The Guardian Becomes Guarded

Beacon Academy - Team RWBY's Dorm

Weiss POV

"I can't believe Professor Ozpin isn't even going to try to send someone to find him!" I exclaimed as Yang, Blake and I were by our dorm sitting at our own beds "He better have a good reason to do such a thing." Yang threatened as she crossed her arms looking at the floor in anger. Before Blake could say anything else, she darted her eyes around the room. "Where's Ruby?"

The moment she asked it, our door was kicked open as Ruby was seen along with Y/N's team behind her. Ruby then stepped forward in triumph saying "I HAVE A PLAN!"

A Few moments later...

"THAT IS THE MOST...... intellectual thing you've ever said aside from the sharing Y/N idea." I admitted to Ruby as we all stood in a circle in the room. I have already explained to them about what happened to Y/N and I last night, as well as who attacked based from what I've seem before I passed out. As of the moment, Ruby decided to go after Y/N with his and our team.

Meanwhile Olivia looked at me in surprise from what I mentioned a while ago. "Wait, what do you mean by sharing Y/N? You mean all four of you also...-" Before she could finish Yang dropped down from her bed, walking up to the rest of us. "Yep! Well it was me at first but the others decided to join in." She tried to lie as we all shake our head in disagreement.

Cayde then let out a frustrated groan before leaving his leaning posture against the wall. "PEOPLE! Can we please talk about this 'sharing Y/N idea' later? There won't be anything left TO share if we don't get him back alive." He stated as we all snapped out of it. As we were all gearing up for the mission, I looked towards Ruby for the plan.

"Ok, what's the plan Ruby?" I asked right before noticing her give me a surprised expression. "Whuh me? O-Oh my plan is to have uh........ RYKER give us a plan!" She shouted out as I deadpanned from her actions. Ryker nodded cooperatively as he walked forward, placing a hologram in the middle of the room.

"All right listen up, based from Weiss' information from what she seen last night, she mentioned about being attacked by 'Guardians'. During my time here on Remnant, I have encountered some people who has similar powers like us but in a more.... 'demonic' way. I was going to tell everyone and Professor Ozpin about this rumor, as well as my previous encounters here on Remnant. But of course I was too late."

He stopped before zooming in the hologram revealing the city of Vale. "If these 'Corrupted Guardians' rumor is indeed a fact, we will need to team up on this one. We don't know anything about the Corrupted, but if they could take down Y/N in a blink of an eye then we should assume that they are extremely dangerous and that we should not underestimate them." He warned as we all nodded in confidence.

"Now in case you didn't know, every Guardian's Ghost has a tracker inside them. They can only stop pinging its location once our power source known as the 'Light' has either ran out or drained out of them. Now his last known location was somewhere in downtown Vale. With the help of Team RWBY's help of the layout of the city, we should be able to find where they're hiding him." He explained as me and my team gave each other a few quick glances in confirmation.

"Of course in times like these we will need a birds eye view. Which is why they are also tagging along..." He mentioned before turning around towards the door revealing Qrow and Raven. Yang then looked at them surprised as she walked up to them. "Mom? You guys are also coming?" Qrow simply crossed his arms before leaning towards the door frame, shrugging that nothing's wrong.

Raven walked towards Yang before seeing her give her a quick hug. "Well I can't leave my daughters on their own without keeping an eye on them. It's about time I start watching over you two." She said lovingly as Raven noticed Ruby smiling at her. She smiled back before turning back towards Yang who had a slightly doubtful look.
