Downtown Vale
Yang POV
Before Y/N could land one last shot towards it, the Paladin stomped the ground with a huge amount of force causing us to collapse to the ground. Before I could get myself up, I noticed Y/N running towards somewhere as the Paladin shot a laser beam towards him. My eyes widened as a blinding light shined after a split second, forcing us to cover our eyes from the emitting brightness.
Once the light died down, I slowly brought my arms down as my vision slowly comes back to me. The Paladin collapsed on the concrete floor as the cockpit opens revealing the pilot. The man tried to make a run for it as he jumps out of the now destroyed Paladin. Right before I could interfere him, ice was formed around his legs as I turned around to see Weiss with her rapier up. With a simple nod, Ryker and Amelia went over to capture the pilot. Not after giving him a few beatings of course.
We all checked up on one another as we make our way to where Y/N was. He was laying on the broken concrete as he slowly gains consciousness. Ruby and Olivia went over to assist him as I looked at the one beside him to see the umbrella girl from our previous encounters. "Y/N! Are you ok?" Ruby asked worriedly as she helped him stand up. He simply nodded in response, slightly wincing from the pain as he held his head. "Just tipsy.... thanks."
He then looked over to the hybrid coloured girl as she sat there while holding her leg in pain as we noticed some blood forming around it. Y/N crouched down next to her as he summoned his Ghost before sending it to her wounded leg. Sirens were heard throughout the city as everyone else wrap things up. I then went over to Y/N before placing my hand on his shoulder saying "We should bring her in to Ozpin and the others..."
Y/N slowly shook his head as he turns back around to the girl. "No, I'll be watching her from now on. If she could give us any intel about those who we are fighting up against, she is better in my hands than Ozpin. I'm starting to have my doubts of your so called headmaster..." He said in a lower toned voice which slightly caught me off guard.
But before I could question any further, Bullheads started to fly by and descend around us as the VPD started to arrive at the scene. As Ryker and Blake escort the prisoner, the rest of us head towards the descending Bullhead in front of us. Once it landed, Team CFVY appeared from the doors as they rushed over to us in concern. "Are you guys ok? Sorry we couldn't get here in time, for some reason it took Ozpin a while before he could send anyone else to respond to you guys."
Coco said apologetically as the rest of her team went out to secure the area. "It's all right, we're starting to think Ozpin may be hiding some things from us." Amelia stated as Coco hesitantly nods. Deciding we shouldn't stick around before getting bombarded by the incoming news reporters, we all enter the Bullhead before making our way to Beacon.
During our ride back, I quickly checked on the others to see if they were all right before going to finally going to Y/N. He stood by a window with his arms crossed. I noticed he had a frustrated look on his face as he stared outside the window. I quietly stood up beside him as I softly placed my hand on his shoulder.
Y/N POV
I turn towards the person to see Yang wearing a warm smile. As per usual with her cheery and bubbly personality just like her sister. "Yang, what can I do for you?" I politely greet her as she says nothing afterwards. Instead she inches nearer beside me before leaning her head on my shoulder. "You always say that, but is there anything we can do for you.... anything I can do?" She says while looking at me worriedly.
"It's fine, I'm just thinking about some things is all." I assured her as she seemed to take my response. "Care to elaborate?" Yang continued while looking out the window as she wraps her arms around mine, still leaning on my arm assuming she was tired and all.
